Interesting, but ultimately unsatisfying. Lots of great ideas that never go anywhere.

I worked at Fahrenheit 212 full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Really smart team and very interesting business challenges. Wide range or projects.

    Cons

The business seems to have outgrown most of the partner's ability to manage it.
Most of the work doesn't ultimately reach the shelf. The approach is often too rigid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Things vastly improved after the CEO left, but we did too many projects that we knew weren't going to make a difference.

    Pros

Smartest people alive, interesting clients and projects, great office environment.

    Cons

No clear management direction, lots of turnover, no clear path to advancement.

  3.

Advertising + Management Consulting is a nice try.

I worked at Fahrenheit 212 full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Smart people who work hard.
    Compensation.
    Location.
Fantastic proposition about risk-sharing with clients.

    Cons

    The proposition is not true.
    No inspiration or culture.
No respect for creative talent or process - just for production.
All work done religiously on power point templates, and the quality suffers until it dies.
A bankrupt advertising model trying to pass itself off as innovation consulting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Go back to advertising.

    Smoke and mirrors

I worked at Fahrenheit 212 full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Incredibly smart people great work environment, seemingly cool projects, good culture

    Cons

Its all smoke and mirrors. The Fahrenheit model is more about appearing to be cool and not so much about substance. Their innovations are mostly well articulated line extensions and really add very little actual value. Meanwhile, although they try to do things like work with private equity or create new technologies, they simply don't have the right people there to understand those markets, meaning their solution is a new branding on a slightly modified product.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are the innovation firm that has never innovated. That said, you convinced the market you have, so well done?
