    Pros

The work at the heart of the job isn't that difficult and interacting with customers can be fun. It's also a good way to get retail experience.

    Cons

No availability questions for the week, they just assign you wherever. There also isn't any kind of training. They expect you to know what to do without informing you first. There are new quotas that have to be fulfilled every day and they're quite steep. Also, the managers expect you to do two jobs at once with little breaks.

    Advice to Management

Be more attentive to employees and try to act nicer? Also, try to understand that your employees aren't at your beck and call and have lives of their own.

    Pros

The only pro is the money (minimum wage) and the 20% discount.

    Cons

First of all: there is SO MUCH GOSSIP between coworkers.. I don't know if it's just the store I worked at but holy crap it's like entering high school again. "____ didn't make her sales goal" "____ is probably gonna get fired" "____ stocked everything wrong" "____ has personal issues" "____ was b*tching to ____ about ____" There is absolutely no way you can make friends with anyone cause they'll just backstab you in the end. Next, head office is terrible. Rude, unorganized, and demanding. You HAVE to make your day even when the sales aren't going good. No ifs, ands, or buts. If you don't, you face serious consequences. The hours are okay.. But the actual planning of who works when is terrible as well. Sometimes you'll be left alone in the store during the busiest times and other times there'll be 3 people working with nothing to do. My manager personally didn't organize our schedules properly and we would only find out when we work like the day before. Lastly, the clothes are extremely cheaply made and break very easily. We get so many returns, it's not even funny. Stock is overwhelming at times & it really sucks having to memorize each and every sale. This is an okay part-time job for students but you have to be really cold. I found myself acting incredibly fake at times - you cannot be yourself at all. Don't expect to make friends or have fun during your shift. Go in there, smile at everyone, make your sales, and get out.

    Advice to Management

You could start by valuing your workers more.

    Pros

The people in all areas of the company are great...very easy to talk to and they value your opinion You are recognized for your work A lot of opportunity for growth within the company Very supportive upper management

    Cons

Need more structure and training tools to be able to successfully succession plan.

    Advice to Management

Structure....training tools...evaluations...setting the standards...graded evaluations in all areas from DM on store visits would help managers learn to perform at a higher level

    Pros

    Cons

Demanding No Work/Life Balance encouraged Low wages Never earn more than 2 weeks vacation

    Advice to Management

Install benefits, pension, and a better vacation policy. Managers should have 2 weekends per month off with no blackout in November or March.
