Family Resources, Inc Reviews
Pros – Good as an entry level position and an opportunity to get experience. Opportunity for advancement is limited, mainly due to the small size of the company.
Cons – Hours are long, pay very low. This is common for social work but more of an issue in this company. Senior management has been in place for many years and may have lost touch with how the long hours impact those starting in the field.
Advice to Senior Management – Support those providing direct service and remember that a living wage is necessary to retain valuable staff members. Remember the cost of replacing workers is high, better to retain those you have.
Pros – Flexibilty in scheduling. Stated mission of community. Co-workers involved and supportive. Support staff very capable and always willing to help.
Cons – Lack of focus. Misguided sense of profit vs. service. Communications from management not always clear nor timely.
Advice to Senior Management – Use your internal resources. Don't forget that your professional staff knows what they are doing. You hired them for their skills - disregarding their professional needs is self-defeating behavior.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
