    I worked at Farley's & Sathers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I advanced quickly at Farley because I was a good worker and I loved my job.

    Cons

I left Farley because I was offered a job that paid more than twice I was making there

    Advice to Management

When I worked for the Farley Candy Co. I was promoted to receiving clerk after two months on the job. The company went from unloading 8 incoming stock trailers to 22 incoming trailers in an 8 hour shift because of me. They started a third shift drivers because of my work.

    Pros

Easy work schedule, fun team, exciting products. I really enjoyed the team I worked with, they were a lot of fun and our day-to-day interaction was full of life.

    Cons

Compensation, vision, and strategy. Pay was below industry average and because of the merger, there was no vision.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend not relying on outside consulting to drive business decisions.

    Pros

You learn a lot about food products and being clean, and learn skills that you may not fine anywhere else.

    Cons

Not updating there machine's, and not enough training for the job that you maybe promotion into. Not enough advancement in jobs hiring within, instead hiring outside the company.

    Advice to Management

The manger's where I work at are very nice and respectful to, but hiring outside the company when there are workers that are skilled for the job but may need little or no training are often turn down. You hire someone outside the company, you have to train them just the same for our type of machine's.
