    Pros

Great staff and if you're committed to higher ideals of growing and eating safer Organic food, helping people do that, and supporting environmental sustainability in agriculture, this is a great place to work. The Arden-Arcade office is very welcoming. This kind of selling leads you to meet nice people who 'get' it and a lot more people who don't. If you're good at this you can make over 1K/week during good spells.

    Cons

Commission only, The hours are 115-830pm and the job itself requires a lot of physical and emotional stamina.

    Pros

Family like atmosphere. Really supportive staff members. Wholesome product. Honesty and integrity is high.

    Cons

If your personality fits the job description then there aren't many cons. But if you are not friendly, don't like to walk, are unable to communicate well then don't bother.

    Advice to Management

Don't undercut your sales team with internet coupons. Your sales reps should have the best deal. Not the internet.

    Pros

A stepping stone job to pay the bills and stay off unemployment.

    Cons

Little to no benefits. Great inequality as to which workers get benefits. Alienation between employees and management. Unclear directives and goals. No team meetings or appreciation. Expendable employees.

    Advice to Management

Communication of company's mission and goals. Internal marketing so employees know what is going on with the company. Owners need to recognize the value of their assets: their employees! It is important to smile, say hello to your receptionist every day; remember people's names. Develop action plans for employees to succeed. Take time to research and plan before jumping to action and wasting money. Work hard at improving company's quality control - produce consistently looks bad and tastes bland! If this doesn't improve - company will burn out the market. Remember one bad customer affects 10 others. Showing consistent appreciation to the employee. Hiring the right and qualified individual for the position.

    Pros

The job description promises uncapped commissions (true), but the amount of money you can actually make is pretty limited. Most of your job duties include going door to door selling a subscription service of fruits and vegetables being delivered to someones home or office. It is fun if you like being outside, walking 5+ miles a day and dealing with irate people. It is a good job for someone transitioning careers or wanting something in the mean time.

    Cons

There is absolutely no room for growth at the company. The management doesnt really know how to manage a team successfully. The pay is pretty low (commission only, no base pay) and offers no residuals for accounts that remain open. If the weather is rainy outside expect to work and get cold. There are absolutely no benefits (401k, health, dental, transportation costs, bonuses or cash incentives) AND even though you are working for a farm, they do not provide you with their produce. You will not have been to the farm or tasted the product although you will be selling their fruits and vegetables. Think hire and fire if you cant sell (if you cant sell it is probably the management's fault because you were improperly trained.

    Advice to Management

The management could do a better job of retention if they: -Offer better training for reps, especially those that struggle with their numbers -Provide benefits (any benefits) -Offer Bonuses -Treat the employees like a team, and not entirely expendable. -Offer room for growth -Offer a base pay -Give away free produce to your employers -Incentivize them with residuals for a sale. -Team Build. They are your greatest asset. Make them feel loved.
