    Pros

Pay is barely competitive with other companies.

    Cons

Senior leadership has no idea how to run a company. Localized Management is disconnected from the reality of the workload, and work life balance is terrible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop making everything all about change. Stop looking for buzzwords to try to repackage old ideas to take credit for something you had no part of, and start using common sense when making business decision that impact your employees and customers.

    Pros

Farmers is known for having a top-rated training program. All the supervisors that I have encountered have been encouraging and helpful where my own career development is concerned.

    Cons

Management level above supervisors are a bit disconnected from day to day functions. They can seem detached and inaccessible at times. In some departments, the work load seems intentionally overwhelming. As of late, opportunities to advance have dried up. Several qualified applicants within the company are stuck in their current positions with few opportunities for growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It might be helpful to address that lack of supervisory positions. It seems that most supervisor positions are only available to those who are currently supervisors wishing to make a lateral move.

    Pros

Not just focused on business , but supports employees who are involved in community service. Well compensated and good focus on developing employees.

    Cons

A lack of mobility can limit options for advancement so I'd like to see mobility be less of a focus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improvements could be made to the technology used for everyday work.

    Pros

You can be your own boss but be prepared to work long hours with little to nothing to show for it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
