    Pros

    -Wasn't stressful
    -Wasn't busy
    -Wasn't worry some
    -No micro managing
    -VERY laid back
    -Got to learn from Jewelers
    -Easy company to learn from to get your foot into the door in jewelry

    Cons

    -No benefits
    -Not a lot of employees to be able to cover you when you go on vacation
    -Unproffesional at times
    -People always think their jewelry is the best and it's really... Not. (So a lot of stuck up customers)
    -Some Jewelers you work with are great, others are lazy and make up things for you to say so they won't have to do their job, and YOU have to tell the customer

    Hire better Jewelers that WANT TO WORK.

    Pros

    I went in there knowing basically nothing about jewelry or watches. Depending on who owns that store itself, you learn a lot. Both of retail and jewelry and watches.

    Cons

    Not many benefits offered. But the flexibility of hours and scheduling compensates.

    Better organization is key for a company like this. Hire the right people.

    casual environment at times w/out strict scheduling for lunches and breaks

    Cons

    micro-managed by owner leaving manager to not be able to manage; not all are treated equal; present commissions unrealistic and can change at moments notice and at times shared w/manager even if solely your sale

    Pros

    Customers are very sweet & bring in the most amazing pieces. The jewelers are EXTREMELY talented.

    Cons

    Corporate did not want to own stores, had poor communication, unorganized corporate office. Absolutely no benefits of any kind unless a franchisee decides to offer them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Open a location near you & run it for a while. When you have solid leadership in a store, leave it alone. Turning over your store managers every 3months reflects poorly on upper level mgt.

    When you work for this company, you end up learning a lot about business in general and the jewelry business if you pay attention. There are plenty of opportunities to learn new techniques and tools of the trade.

    No benefits. Advancing in the company isn't terribly easy - there is no solid direction for you to go in.

    You guys are doing a great job with the company in spite of this economic environment. I would like to see some opportunities for employees to get involved in corporate or allowing good ideas to be spread around your stores. Good ideas should be fostered.
