I have been working at Fatima Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Its the 2nd largest business group in Pakistan currently who have shown tremendous growth in a few years, their salary packages are good, especially if you have a foreign degree or from LUMS/IBA/LSE. It has a good reputation in the market and can lead to better career opportunities in the future.

    Cons

Still has a "Seth" culture, and although you are encouraged to speak up & bring new ideas but after a while you realize that your speaking to a brick wall, also there is a lot of discrimination within the salary structure, even at the MTO level sadly, although they are all fresh graduates. If you have a foreign degree then you're paid the highest, then the LUMS/IBA graduates and finally LSE grads are paid the lowest, which is a shame. its the same at the management level also. Although the company is trying to change its culture by hiring people from good universities and companies, yet there are people in the company who who would like to maintain/preserve that Seth culture that makes it difficult for new employees to work.

    Advice to Management

Change the company culture Revise the SALARY structure & resolve job security issues Don't just encourage new talent for the sake of encouraging but give them the freedom & flexability to work. Fatima has the potential to become an MNC and i truly believe in that, but for that to happen the top management needs to take ownership. Decision making should be more decentralized.

    Pros

-Located in one of Pakistan's big cities. - Having a number of products so you may have a diverse experience. -Continuously growing, generating new ideas and projects. -Good salary and benefits.

    Cons

    - The conversion rate from middle to higher management is low. - Still weaker in overall systems. - Too much experimentation with system ideas of other companies rather than generating their own system.

    Advice to Management

    - Make a genuine Pak Arab breed of system, don't copy others in business. - Launch yourself as long term career job.
