I have been working at Faurecia Interior Systems full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Many of the processes are good for sourcing. These processes help organize commodities, targets, and time lines to get things done.

    Cons

some of their processes are redundant, which takes up a lot of time and slows down what needs to get done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

continue to work on process improvement to stream line the processes.

    Pros

Lots of changes going on after Visteon plant was acquired by Faurecia, there may be opportunities in the future.

    Cons

The plant I was at was a former Visteon plant so many changes were taking place after the acquisition that took some getting used to.

    Pros

I really have nothing good to say.

    Cons

Pay cut, No O.T. policy, cut in pay and benefits, H.R. is difficult. Dismissal at a whim.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to deal in an AMERICAN manufacturing environment and please leave the green card "experts" back home, they do make a mess,,,and wow, they get a promotion for it and leave the mess for others to clean up.

    Experience Entirely Depends Upon Manager

I worked at Faurecia Interior Systems as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Pay rate is above average. Overtime is plentiful. Flexible with school schedule.

    Cons

Long hours, especially before an audit or "special visitor" (code for some bigwig from France). As I stated in the title of my review, your internship experience depends entirely upon how involved and helpful your assigned manager is. In my case, my manager used me just as an extra body. I felt more like a maintenance worker than a logistics intern. Menial, physical tasks with no relevant supply chain/logistics related work 90% of the time during the duration of my internship.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review with interns, and constantly check up with them to see if the internship lives up to it's promises. Have more face to face interaction with the interns. Organize events with interns from other plants. Allow interns to participate in more training seminars/classes.

    Pros

This facility has bought almost all new machines since it opened theee years ago. The pay is good for the position. Most of the people are good to work with. The executive management visit plants when in the US.

    Cons

Upper management outside the plant is changing pretty consistently due to quick growth in the US. There has been a pretty high turnover in management staff in the plant in three years (4 QMs, 4 EMs, 2 PMs, 4 Mat. Mgrs). Local HR is not sufficient to develop talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop people with training. Don't depend on local HR to facilitate training.

I worked at Faurecia Interior Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

decent pay and benefits, good learning opportunity since you start the job with little to no training and you have to figure out how to deal with constantly changing priorities. Makes you a good fire-fighter.

    Cons

Management is a complete joke. Most of the managers have never been to college which wouldnt be a bad thing if they had gained some skills during their experience but that is definitely not the case. Managers cant spell, dont know their people, do bare minimum and are not driven to do anything. They bring managers back who were originally sent back on bad terms and put them back in place. No efforts are made to recruit good talent. If you have a college degree, stay away for sure because it becomes completely worthless when you work here. If you are not friends with the director or the managers, you dont really stand a chance for advancement. The director believes in a dictator style of leadership. Several people get paid managers salaries to do nothing. Ethically and morally questionable on a lot of different fronts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have no idea how to run a company. I suggest you hire some people who are competent and know what to do instead of hiring people because they are you friends or family.

    Pros

None. Nothing, if you're considering a job here, run away if you have any sense at all.

    Cons

Poor, poor management, tons of red tape, good ol boy clicks, former Lear management "screw all suppliers mentality, outright liars, bold face liars, none existing human resources, illegal things going on within purchasing, over worked people everywhere, terrible moral amongst 90% of the employees at all levels, unreasonable expectations, no training whatsoever, hr team is inept, vp level managers are unrealistic in their requests, this is hands down the worst company I have ever worked at.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay put so the rest of the good people know where the idiots are at. Won't be long before this company folds.
