Current Employee – been working at Feather River Hospital full-time for more than 7 years

Pros – Rural community with friendly employees.

Cons – The healthcare reform is making the hospital make some significant changes, some of which have made working here less intriguing. The management is much more focused on the bottom line, then how they treat their employees. I've noticed over time how the employee satisfaction has decreased because of the many restrictions due to financial hardship. I hope they don't lose sight of theri committment to employees during this struggle to stay financially viable.

Advice to Senior Management – Remember how hard it is to improve moral, and avoid decreasing it anymore.

Pros – A quiet and rural setting that is located in the foothills of the sierra nevada mt range. The location cuts down on a lot of the big city problems.

Cons – Lack of professional growth or development. Senior leadership has been in control for a significant period of time and is not up to date with the current trends in health care.

Advice to Senior Management – Listen to the people you have hired to do the job of caring for people. Stop hiring consultation firms and then ignoring there advice, even though you could have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars by just doing what your employees told you to do in the first place.
