Pros
Excellent company has promoted a few to many professional managers.
Cons
Advancement is limited and can be a struggle for most.
Advice to Senior Management
Learn to lead
Pros
-awesome benefits, even for pt employees
-competitive pay when compared with industry rivals
-good balance between work and private life
Cons
-upper management seems to think they are very smart, in the case of the region where I worked, they were not.
-making changes that were detrimental to our operations and the equipment we needed.
Advice to Senior Management
When your subordinate employees give you advice on what is needed or what should/shouldn't change, take it to heart, there are a lot of people who care for the company and know what they are talking about.
Pros
Good pay for summer internship (3k a month after taxes)
Interaction with very senior executives
Positive work environment
Good work hours
Good culture
Company you can be proud to work for
Although my group had a hiring freeze, my manager worked the phones with other managers and directors and got my two interviews that both led to offers
Cons
Working in Memphis (and I'm from Memphis)
Overall intern program was unorganized, my manager did a good job though
Many interns had great reviews but hiring freezes meant their managers couldn't offer
Advice to Senior Management
Structure the intern program better, have more interactions with other interns. Me and the intern in my group never had any interaction with the other interns in different areas. Groups that had many interns set things up for their interns to do, but in smaller groups like mine that only had 2 interns, we were sort of lef out of teh loop.
Pros
Be open minded and a positive to learning and flexible change. The work pace is fast and furious at times.
Cons
The hours for supervisors and operations managers can be long but very challenging. Sometimes it would appear the human element is overlooked.
Advice to Senior Management
The Senoir Leadership needs to look, listen and hear what is being said and offered as a measure of approval from the front line leadership.
Pros
Opportunity to cross train in other roles, generally amazing co-workers
Cons
Limited opportunity to move into management in Dallas, bad behavior not always centured
Advice to Senior Management
Improve middle management training, better monitoring of bad apples
Pros
pay was very competitve and fair
Cons
too much work to complete in one day
Advice to Senior Management
get more organized
Pros
Growth, Pay, Flexibility, Great Leadership.
Cons
If you are resistant to change, to work here, things are always changing.
Advice to Senior Management
Great Management. Need to adjust to different types of leadership, but of the managers I had, all were great.
Pros
guaranteed hours and good benefits
Cons
late nights. If you work night get ready to take an energy shot
Pros
Work conditions. Safety. Facilities. Adequate tools to do the job. Convenience. Sufficient flexibility.
Cons
Limited income growth. Pay scales not rationalized. The real inside track is not always known. Very challenging competition. Lots of outstanding talent and intelligence, but sometimes lacking in real and broad experience, especially experience in Transportation.
Advice to Senior Management
Thorough review of pay, pay scales, and rationale for pay, plus more cross-OpCo equalization. Managers don't want to talk about pay. It is much too secretive. Encourage this before economy and hiring improves to mitigate turnover. Issue would have greater urgency if FXS were located in most any other city.
Pros
Limited work week as we are insides sales
Good Benefits package starts first day of work
two week off as soon as you start
great people
Cons
Unreasonable sales goal, does not take into account certain markets
On the phone constantly
Advice to Senior Management
more training after a year on the floor
