Cons
Hard work many large packages often difficult to take off truck and put on rollers..trailers get extremely hot sweat alot
Pros
the benifit is very good, especially we have the tuition application programme. But limited development space for people besides sales dept.
Cons
The salary is getting low and low. there is the max salary limited to the postion, it is not good.
Advice to Senior Management
get more info from the market especially in the salary field, i think people need more encouragement. it wl be better
Pros
Benefits, pay, co-workers, and it's a job.
Cons
Management is TERRIBLE. Work environment is HORRIBLE. No respect for your personal life. Management is INCOMPETENT.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your employees better, know your job, and stop just thinking about yourselves.
Pros
-Relatively good pay.
- Good benefits: 401K, pension, PTO, medical-dental-vision, discounted airline travel, other little perks.
- Work-life balance
- Stability and job security
- Reputation as a top 100 employer
- Mobility across company and divisions
Cons
- Slow and bureaucratic at times.
- Senior management more interested in empire building. Not much focus on efficiency.
- Slow to innovate- happy with status quo.
- Over-staffing (in some areas) resulting in bored under-utilized employees and fewer opportunities for upward growth.
Advice to Senior Management
- Let us not rest on our past accolades and become too complacent. This is a high barrier-to-entry industry but we still need to focus on innovation, efficiency and speed in this era of global competition.
Pros
Fast paced amd my co-workers and bosses are easy to get along with.
Cons
The heat is terrible , it would be alittle more bearile if there was a fan in my work area.
Advice to Senior Management
If a worker is good and hard working , not always tatteling crying and complaining. Don't ignore them leave alone to do the work of 3 people. without sending her someone to help out so they are not struggling to catch their breath . Instead reward them with more hours, and opportunities to learn more so they move up , to add their abilities , skills, and hardwork to help guide and motivate the other workers.
Pros
The benefits and worklife balance are excellent at FedEx. Without question this is the best place I've worked as far as that goes. The ability to move around in the company and grow is also quite good. I've now had three careers at FedEx and they have generously paid for my education while preparing for the latest. Their policy of promoting from within means that a lot of people I know have had opportunities to grow in ways they could not imagine.
Cons
Innovation takes time. Paperwork and procedures are somewhat complex and getting moreso all the time. This may be occurring at other firms as well, but it seems especially difficult here.
Advice to Senior Management
Streamlining processes and instituting more collaborative processes across the Operating Companies would help us get more done for our customers.
Pros
Stable company and Good benefits. Fantastic Shipping Company. Very Low turnover of employees and management.
Cons
Not a good place to advance a technical career. Very few promotions to get beyond the senior level.
Pros
FedEx is stable and tries to keep employees best interests at heart. They offer reasonably competitive pay and benefits. There is pride in the brand, even among employees.
Cons
FedEx can be political and two-faced... the company seems much more concerned about their reputation to the public (shareholders) and sometimes shoots itself in the foot. Also, FedEx has become very bureaucratic and more of a popularity game, rather than truly rewarding innovation and hard work. The employee has become more disposable over the years, though, admittedly, it's still better than most companies.
Advice to Senior Management
Show some commitment in company direction. FedEx seems to change directions with the wind and sometimes appears indecisive, inconsistent, and lost.
Pros
Job security, work life balance, low cost of living in Memphis
Cons
limited opportunity for career advancement
Advice to Senior Management
mentor your capable employees and learn their needs
Pros
One of the biggest employers in the area. People from diverse backgrounds.
Cons
Limited merit raise and promotion opportunities.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide better merit increase and promotion opportunities.
