Pros
I initially took this job as a part time money-maker with no thoughts of advancement. But after working for the company and seeing the opportunities it affords I have decided to make it a career
Cons
Very few. The pay can be a little low starting out but raises are pretty frequent for the first few months
Pros
Great home time. The pay is not bad. Everyone is friendly. A lot of times you may get to pick your run for the night if you run out of the window.
Cons
Fed ex ground does not offer benefits for their driver which makes them the worst company to work for. All you are getting is a pay check.
Advice to Senior Management
One of the problems with Fedex is that they will have you come in to work 2 to 3 hours early waiting on your trailer (we get paid by the mile "NOT" the hour).
Pros
Compensation level was acceptable in years of employment
Cons
Managing director level of competence was unacceptable.
Advice to Senior Management
avoid skip level management from managing director level
Pros
Decent pay (as a wall), tuition assistance (Re-imbursement) great benefits (when you become eligible)
Cons
they don't give OT very often if ever. They also do not allow you to work 40 hrs when you are a full time emp. (you are stopped at 37.5; don't know how they arrive at that number)
Advice to Senior Management
Learn to communicate with other departments including other members of management.
Pros
Good pay for the area w/o a college degree. They have benefits that give u discounts on verizon wireless service along w/ a few other benefits. Pay increases by .50 every 2mos when I worked there.
Cons
They promise you 5 hours/day but they are going to try to keep it under 5. If you are packing a trucks you have to do two trucks at once and one or both may be heavy load trucks. Thus u end up doing more work than someone whose been there longer and getting more money. Also equipment was substandard. You never knew if the scanners were going to work right.
Advice to Senior Management
Get new scanners (maybe the RFID kind) don't start some1 off on the hardest truck to handle. And maybe change the pay system so the work u do corresponds to payk
Pros
FedEx treats their employees very well with compensation and benefits.
They promote from within, your hard work pays off.
FedEx supports the professional growth of their employees by providing personal development books and classes.
Things are always changing, people are always moving up, making room for others to move up.
Cons
Peak can be challenging, but it is also when the brightest stars shine. Also the competitive nature of the company can spark drama.
Advice to Senior Management
Build rapport with your employees.
Pros
tuition for school major plus, pay rate increases
Cons
hard work , basically working outdoors in elements
Pros
Stable,Don't see FedEx going anywhere anytime soon...
Weedend Off
Paid Weekly
Cons
40 hrs Yeah Right more like 35
Advice to Senior Management
If you start young and are a go getter you should get ahead with company.
Pros
Weekends off, tuition assistance, decent pay.
Cons
Work is not glamorous at all.
Advice to Senior Management
Wake up.
Pros

Cons
its a physical job . lifting boxes up to 100 pounds
Advice to Senior Management
