I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy to get promoted, good vacation and sick time, health insurance is good

    Cons

No real cons, other than poor managers who are getting away with bullying their employees.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the actual problem when there is heavy turnover underneath one manager who has a reputation of being a tyrant. You have lost countless great employees because of one bad seed who is still employed with the company.

    Pros

Good benefits...flexible schedule....open 7 days so should be easy to work out a schedule that will work for you. variety of things to work on....if you like working with the public this is a good fit for you

    Cons

declining print industry....in 5-10 years they will likely be 90% shipping and packing, with print just a small portion. Raises can be small and are only done annually. Employee incentives are based off constant pesky upselling.

    Advice to Management

Be encouraging and let go of some things so your team can develop.

  3. Great People, annoying customers, good work/life balance

    Pros

The people are great. Management is really flexible with time off and schedule changes. You get lots of little perks, like discounted copies, and sometimes even old equipment. It's a great job if you are looking to get through college.

    Cons

It's the only place I've ever worked where customers can demand when they will get their project done. You can't go to Jiffy Lube and tell them you want your car worked on, and it's gonna be done in 20 minutes, yet people will say I need 5,000 copies in a half hour. You have to do your best to comply or management will get really upset. People also expect great technological advancements, but they don't even know how to run a fax machine? The customers can be the worst part of the job. You'll also have to work many nights and weekends when you are first starting out.

    Advice to Management

Value higher education and give higher raises for longer employee retention.
