    Pros

Great Company. Great for college students. Even though it says part time if you need full time hours it is not hard to get atleast 32hrs a week in. You can get promoted pretty quickly(since the turnover is so high ) as long as you show up every day and do what your suppose to do you can get promoted in less then a year. If you need help with something everybody is willing to help as long as you ask

    Cons

If you work the preload shift the hours are the hardest thing to get use to Tues-Sat 1am-8am. It took me about a month to get use too. Physically you are sore no matter how much you work out. It took about 2 weeks to get used to the physical part.

    Advice to Management

Some managers do this and some don't. But try to get to know your employees. Its not hard to ask how someone day is. Its not hard to tell if someone is having family problems or other problems outside of work and if you notice that just ask how they are doing without getting too personal. You would be surprised how much of a difference that would make them feel. Also if a employee is messing up tell them when they do it don't wait a month also don't yell and make them feel like they are a inch tall we are all adults so there is no need in that.

    Pros

Great training, nice compensation and benefits. low workload and vacations. Flight benefits great health benefits buddy passes traveling all around the world iota wonderful

    Cons

The pay was a bit low, and although management was very willing to give me more responsibility and more opportunities, they were not willing to increase my salary.Move around too much hard to balance family friends

    Advice to Management

Nothing is more infuriating than being told by HR or management that there is nothing they can do because according to their secret undisclosed formula the salary should not be adjusted.

    Pros

Camaraderie. Everyone becomes like family. Some coworkers you will have longer than the time youve known your spouse or longer than your kids are old. very easy to get very comfortable.

    Cons

the silos run very tall, very narrow, very deep. You will do one thing and one thing alone. You will not have a chance to get into anything new. Too political to move around the company. Since the 2009 layoffs and the 2013 buyouts, there has been a complete culture change. no longer people first. thats a forgotten myth. Profit, Service, people. Stock prices are at all time high, because they are screwing the employee. 7 years ago, FedEx would have gotten 5 stars. Today, they get 2 stars. They have lost their vision.

    Advice to Management

The company is very top heavy. invest in your employees. They are not factory workers stamping out widgets. Bring back people first. You lay off and you push people out the door and then you create 3 more Senior Vice President positions. That speaks volumes.

    Pros

People first philosophy. Relaxed work environment. Low house price.

    Cons

Most employees have no interest in learning new things. Even if some of them do, they are discouraged by management.

    Advice to Management

Try new things to attract younger employees with new way of thinking or doing work.

    Cons

While profits are great at FedEx the management no longer values employees as they once did.
