I worked at Federal Government part-time for less than a year

    Pros

I can honestly only come up with one, which is the fact that it was the only position hiring ( other than medical) during the lengthy hiring freeze.

    Cons

First and foremost, is the fact that the crews are run by an unstable lead,( whose broken English is severe and instruction is almost impossible to understand), treacherous elements and insurmountable lack of professionalism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a new lead and pay appropriately for a labor position.

I have been working at Federal Government

    Pros

Other sections may be much better in the government. I know I worked elsewhere and it was better. Crap shoot at times

    Cons

Horrible working relations between my bosses in my section of HHS and me. Toxic atmosphere

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat people with respect and they will respect you back

I have been working at Federal Government full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Salary and benefits are pretty comfortable and you get decent vacation and sick days, but that is about to change

    Cons

Strick hierarchy can make you claustrophobic. Most of the time, you have nothing to do and when you do, its to review for the 14th time a paper that will eventually lead nowhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take more risk, be more open to ideas that come from "below".

I have been working at Federal Government full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Retirement benefits are very fair and appreciated. Being able to take all insurance upon retirement immediately is a great bonus.

    Cons

Teleservice Representative employees are charted every day. Charts have when the employee is on the phone, off the phone, how long the call takes, seconds between calls, and how long a person is on hold.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just keep being honest & fair

I have been working at Federal Government full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Since it isn't a contract job, no worries form year to year if you will have a job.

    Cons

Not is to move up the ranks. Good old boy network still. Have to take too much training that isn't related to your job. Not enough money to take classroom training that is job related.
