Love the people I work with. Great for promoting within. Lots of work but we have a lot of fun too. Two thumbs up.

    Cons

Low pay compared to other companies the have the same job title. That's the only con I can think of. I wish the pay was better.

I have been working at Ferguson Enterprises full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Freedom to work as necessary to complete assigned tasks. Plenty of autonomy for decision-making. Also flexible with regards to work-life balance and maintaining a healthy lifestyle

    Cons

The company as a whole struggles with interaction between regional offices and misses out on profit-making opportunities due to departmentalization and lack of communication. Overall, the company really cares about its associates and goes to great lengths to provide for them, both personally and financially. However, they sometimes hold on to associates longer than necessary and struggle with finding the right person for the right job.

    Advice to Management

Get the right people on the right seat on the bus, train them to do their job effectively, and move associates who can't get the job done to a position that better fits their skill set. Turnover may increase, but you'll make your A and B workers happier.

I have been working at Ferguson Enterprises full-time

    Pros

Very one seems like they are willing to help you and generally care about you and your future. The training you will receive will be one of the best in the industry. Its a lot of hard work but if you stick with it and put 110%, you will find that they are an amazing company to work for.

    Cons

Very long hours, very hot/cold in the warehouse and a lot of manual labor. Be ready to work your butt off because its NOT easy. If you graduated in a fancy degree, you might want to double think your decisions.

    Pros

13 Billion dollar company. Lots of pros from work atmosphere to benefits to salary. This is a great company to get into unless you are a push over. If you are afraid to voice your opinion then you won't make it far with this company.

    Cons

Restructuring their Business management system so some location are a bit short handed. Pay scale doesn't always make sense.

    Advice to Management

When you take on accounts, then make that employee an inside sales rep and remove the trainee status. Plus give him a raise, even if it is just a small one because a trainee should get paid less then someone who handles accounts.

I have been working at Ferguson Enterprises full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ferguson provide excellent benefits to its current full time employees. The management is fantastic and very flexible. This allows for a great work/home life experience. Very satisfied up to this point.

    Cons

It's hard to pinpoint cons with Ferguson. There's one con that I will point out and that's the accrual of vacation time when you start. Not granted vacation time immediately after 90 days, that is when you start accruing vacation.

    Pros

Largest plumbing wholesaler in the country with continuous growth opportunity. Many different job titles to choose from, nationally

    Cons

The new business structure aka BMI is causing a lot of unrest and turmoil. Long term it should work out but right now the company is at risk of loosing some of its best talent. Still a, "good old boys" atmosphere. Very frustrating.
