    Pros

Well the benefits are fairly good. The health care coverage used to be awesome. The price has gone way up and the co-pays as well over the last few years. Paid leave is pretty good. I'm getting 3 floating holidays, 3 personal days, 5 sick days and 3-1/2 weeks of paid vacation plus the normal 6 holidays. I've been subjected to several different managers. Some of them were awesome - some of them were devils with horns. Luck of the draw I guess depending on what branch you work in.

    Cons

Not exactly ideal work conditions. You are high pressured and the environment can get pretty bad with sour attitudes and finger pointing. I could deal with that if the pay were better. I like the benefits which is what keeps me there, for now. The pay scale is on the lower end and pay raises are dependent on who you know. I consider a .15 cents per hour raise an insult, more like a slap in the face.

    Advice to Management

Corporate has no idea what goes on in many of the branches. Ferguson has "strict" standards but they are not adhered to at the local level. If you try to bypass local management (after taking issues up with them that are outrageous in nature and they do nothing about it), you are reprimanded. I've been subjected to sexual harassment. I've seen workers getting into each other's faces and management doing nothing about it. Favoritism runs rampant.

    Pros

Decent place to work. Good values and good culture with other employees. Decent job security.

    Cons

Difficult to advance. Especially difficult to get worthwhile raises. 3% on 30k doesn't compound very quickly year over year......

    Pros

Hard work and long hours can pay off. Health insurance and benefits.

    Cons

Division between warehouse and office. Considerable more flexible and understanding and forgiving of older white males than black especially in south Florida. More structured fair pay.

    Advice to Management

New fresh blood. I would like to see more woman and different ethnicities in management roles.

    Pros

    Great benefits
Many opportunities to learn and grow
Many areas of expertise to be considered and to expand on

    Cons

    Tense work environment
Once you're a middle-man, it's hard to get out of the rut. Unless you know someone who knows someone, stay on the bottom. Once you begin to advance, the managers get harder to deal with. Tenure and seniority mean a lot to the company.

    Advice to Management

Treat all employees with respect regardless of age, gender, race, or experience. My experience with this company would have been much better had I felt valued as an employee.

    Pros

Pays the bills, fun people to work with, decent training program, has opportunities for upward mobility, management is helpful and not overbearing

    Cons

long hours at least a 10 hour day, horrible pay for working so hard, the training program can run a bit to long and will seam very monotonous

    Advice to Management

improve the work life balance and the company moral will follow, advance salaries of employees when their performance and work ethic do the same
