    Cons

Most jobs require relocation to many different states, can be a burden for some associates who have families.

    Pros

Most of the people are cool.very laid back place. My 1020 brance works very hard but we don't get no love.

    Cons

Management does not take ur advice. Seems racist.
Not a chance to move up especially if your a minority

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please give equal opportunity to minorities. And better raises I'm worth more than 26 cent.

    Pros

Great family relationship at the branch level.

    Cons

Politics prevail at corporate headquarters, and many managers are promoted based on relationships rather than skill in the position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Require and expect managers to mentor and develop their associates.

I worked at Ferguson Enterprises full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Very results-driven. Your opportunity is determined by the amount of work and dedication you put into the role. Very much a relationship business with the customers.

    Cons

Very structured organization. Recession drew them back quite a bit, but business is much improved, and they are in much better shape to capitalize on the improved economy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Opportunities for advancement come from left field, which can be discouraging for associates who are waiting for their chance. A better defined mid-career path would help you retain associates you spent a lot of effort developing.

    Pros

Work hard play hard environment. Product knowledge skyrockets. Good exposure to all businesses serviced.

    Cons

Little or no family balance. Saturday shift work and inventory time is a pain and often not compensated for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to get rid of the weasel managers who just use outside sales numbers to feather their own cap.

I worked at Ferguson Enterprises full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The people you work with are usually good people, team players, and are willing to help one another.

    Cons

The compensation is fair, but perhaps could be better considering the hours put in. You will definitely have to be part of the good ole boy network if you expect to advance. Unfortunately your hard work and performance may only get you a pat on the back.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward based on performance and not based on brown nosing.

    Pros

Good pay, benefits, and vacation time.

    Cons

Won't let you use personal time even for a dying relative, has to approve vacation time if you miss a day and don't have sick time, treats loaders terrible because it's all the loader's fault because we touched it last, no communication between management, and major favoritism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat all workers good not just order pickers

    Pros

Stack it deep, sell it cheap

    Cons

If you don't conform, your out. They want drones, not open free thought about how to make your current work place or position to be a better, more positive environment.
