I worked at Ferrero full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Ferrero USA is growing at a good pace, company is solid, no layoffs. Products are excellent, family company so no short term result pressure, managers are usually understanding to family problems, people are great and it's easy to build personal relationships. Good work/life balance. Taking your time at lunch break is encouraged.

    Cons

The company used to be known for offering good benefits, making it attractive despite the low salary (around 30% lower than the market average). These benefits are no longer provided. HR is inadequate, incapable of performing basic HR activities such as New Hire Guides, Exit Interviews, Mid-Term Reiviews, etc.
Talents and HR managers have been known to hire direct family members, friends and even partners from overseas

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Priority would be to improve the level of HR and avoid letting poor HR decisions affect the necessities of the company.

    I worked at Ferrero full-time

    Pros

They used to provide great benefits, but now they are just okay.

    Good Work/Life Balance.

    Cons

Staff functions are not supported by management. They rather let you sink then get involved in the daily problems which can only be straightened out by management.

The IT Department is a mess and upper management does not challenge them to improve.

Salaries are below the market rate.

    No career opportunities.

I would not recommend this employer to a friend. Stay away from this company no matter how desperate you are for a job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your staff and consider their opinions . Help them straighten out the problems so they can do a better job. Involve yourself in the daily fires so you have a clue about the challenges your employees are facing.

I worked at Ferrero full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good Benefits, Paid Vacation, Personal and Sick Time

    Cons

Ferrero used to be a family oriented organization. Over the years the environment had drastically changed due to poor HR management. The employee moral had noticeably declined. Managers didn't understand their direct reports daily responsibilities. The company had no mid year reviews, no training, no career development, no processes, many inefficiencies, understaffed departments and low salaries all due to lack of engagement from upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give proper support and reanalyze the pay structure

I worked at Ferrero full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Normally management offers flexible hours as long as you preform. Good company to work for if you have a young family and no aspirations to move up the latter. Ferrero does offer very good medical benefits.

    Cons

Family oriented organization and continued to be promoted in this manner. Perhaps, 15 years ago when management actually cared about employee and did not allow inexperienced and selfish HR manager move in from overseas to run every part of the organization. Never understood how one individual can be capable of making decisions for every facet of the company without any technical or direct experience in those areas of expertise. Anyone working for the company can notice how negative the atmosphere has developed over the past year. Employees are promised certain positions or promotions within a time frame which in the end does not materialize. No training or support offered. Any new employees have to be a self-motivator and DO NOT expect that anyone is going to be there to show you the ropes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start getting involved regardless of who reports to you. Protect your people and start fighting. If not, people will continue to leave the organization.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
