I worked at Fiat full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They will finally have an interesting product portfolio in a few years. I hope it brings back hope and motivation.

    Cons

I worked at the HQ in one of the European country.
Management was very poor. The rating system didn't leave any space for discussion. I felt like the company didn't have any vision on the long term, and was changing plans and strategy everyday. Employees were always working under stressful conditions, trying to follow up with executive's always changing strategies.
Many talentuous employees and manager had already left the company, and many remaining managers were not skilled enough to do the job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide more employee appreciation
When needed, don't hesitate to get rid of bad managers. It will end up less expensive than loosing motivation, commitment, and ultimately... employees

I have been working at Fiat

    Pros

It is big company with a lot of opportunities to advance and to learn. Moving through departments gives employe a chance to see big picture and doesn't allow employe to stay in comfort zone for too long.

    Cons

HQ insisting on certain things and not having sense for local market. Young division with not fully established departments and processes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To try to reduce business based on connections inside the company and to turn it to more professional employe behavior.

I have been working at Fiat (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Nice colleagues and good environment.lower level colleagues work and do all the job.

    Cons

No trainings to HQ due to local management misjudgment.fired many worthy and talented colleagues due to cost reduction but they kept their spendings and benefits.managers use two company cats and the people who actually need them don't have one.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sweep all management.they only care about their position and income.

I worked at Fiat as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Excellent to know all the processes of car manufacturing, the employees are dedicated and proud of the company, the interns have a great support and are carefully listened and supported even in a temporary contract.

    Cons

The salary is competitive. There is not so much flexibility for working hours to the interns, but that is very responsible. The company is far from the city and it takes some time to get there, but not prohibitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The summer internship is a great program I highly suggest to be kept.

I worked at Fiat full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great office atmosphere. I was allowed to manage my own workload with little interruption but the support and advice needed was there if I wanted it. Very approachable members of the technical team and warranty department.

    Cons

A bit male dominated but then it is the automobile industry so that is to be expected.
