I have learned a lot in multinational company and it was great company to start my career.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsIt is big company with a lot of opportunities to advance and to learn. Moving through departments gives employe a chance to see big picture and doesn't allow employe to stay in comfort zone for too long.

ConsHQ insisting on certain things and not having sense for local market. Young division with not fully established departments and processes.

Advice to Senior ManagementTo try to reduce business based on connections inside the company and to turn it to more professional employe behavior.

I only worked there a short time but I loved it.

    Customer Relations Executive (Former Employee)
Slough, Berkshire, South East England, England (UK)

ProsGreat office atmosphere. I was allowed to manage my own workload with little interruption but the support and advice needed was there if I wanted it. Very approachable members of the technical team and warranty department.

ConsA bit male dominated but then it is the automobile industry so that is to be expected.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Great school but you must learn how to survive quite quickly

Sales Operations (Back Office) (Current Employee)
    Turin (Italy)

ProsFiat is probably one of the best "schools" you can find if you have a small experience behind your back. You definitely have to boost your learning speed to survive and perform properly.

ConsThe size may become a major con. In some cases each department becomes a company inside the company and mismatching targets between different parts of the company may prevent correct collaboration. Other major con: the HR function disappear as soon as you are in. All your career profile is managed by your n+1, the HR function is just a pro-forma, you won't have scheduled meetings like in other companies and they won't help much in case of shifts to different activities. You must build personal contacts, don't expect to be assessed only on the base of your results.

Advice to Senior ManagementOpenly share your personal targets with your line. It is not quite common in Fiat but it really helps the "peones" to streamline the daily activity by making correct anticipation. And we all know that the zero-HR-intervention strategy is a trap. But then try to compensate by managing expectations of your men on a longer term with more frequent meetings on this subject

    Good school..

    Project Manager (Former Employee)
    Turin (Italy)

ProsI had the chance to be involved in several projects with growing responsibilies and budget. You can easily travel abroad, know people and grow professionally.

It's a good school where you can learn how to be effective in complex and big organizations.

ConsThe company is facing a big downturn and it's very difficult to have a career advancement even if you are considered a talent.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey should focus more on products.
