Current Employee – been working at Fidelis Care New York full-time for more than a year
Pros – A paycheck that is always consistent, opportunity for overtime, cross-training, great entry-level job with proper 4 week training.
Cons – There is absolutely no room for growth in this company. You will be doing the same repetitive work, every single day. Moving to different departments, are ALL lateral moves, no increases in pay.

Current Employee – been working at Fidelis Care New York full-time for more than a year
Pros – Regular hours, predictable schedule, very competitive salary, weekends/holidays off, great working environment, solid mission, great people working here.
Cons – This is a fast growing company that is experiencing, as should be expected, growing pains. Yes, things and routines change, sometimes in the same day, but if you're flexible and get the growing process you'll do fine. There are times of the year you may have to work late, it's part of the business. The pros greatly outweigh the cons here.
Advice to Senior Management – Consistent communication is vital, don't micromanage, be open to creative problem solving

Former Employee – worked at Fidelis Care New York full-time for more than a year
Pros – New York office is close to public transportation and there is good shopping in the immediate neighborhood in Rego Park.
Cons – Dehumanizing is the best way to describe the rigid and demanding style of Fidelis management. Be prepared to have everything done right away regardless of the impact on your family.
Advice to Senior Management – Replace the nasty individuals in the senior group.

Current Employee – been working at Fidelis Care New York full-time for less than a year
Pros – Not a bad salary and office in Amherst in new. Positioned well to take advantage of exchanges, BUT...
Cons – Leadership is horrible - very short sighted and not looking out for the best interest of the employees or member. Benefits are minimum standard. Might be better if they could get HR leadership to stay long enough to fix things.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay attention to what is going on in the industry - look further than 6 months in advance. For example, healthcare exchanges are in place in October and you are just getting started, you are way behind the curve on health care reform. INVEST. Trust the people you hire to do the right thing.

Pros – So many smart and exciting people, a wonderful mission, and some managers who were dedicated to growth.

Former Employee – worked at Fidelis Care New York full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Nice building, good location, great people to work with. Good benefits although over the years the company has watered them down into less then what was originally offered when I started.
Cons – No one who's any good stays with the company. The individuals who do all the work are always expected to do more and more without any thanks from their immediate Supervisor. It's those individuals who realize they would be appreciated elsewhere and leave.
Advice to Senior Management – Practice what you preach.
