    Pros

Once you get the hang of the systems used for sales the rest is a breeze. A great job for people in high school or university/college. You get hourly pay plus commission from your sales.

    Cons

You may be pressure to services you don't believe in to customers that don't need the need them in the first place. You stand for your entire shift and this can be tough for some people.

    Advice to Management

When selecting candidates to be managers make sure they really are people person's, and not just individual's that have good numbers. It makes a world of a difference working for a manger who actually cares about your well being and understands each staff members strength's and weaknesses .

    Pros

You are part of a business that is constantly growing and changing. There is optimal room for growth within the retail side of things. Extremely easy to learn and sell products as there are not too many compared to other carriers.

    Cons

Commission structure constantly changes. There is no clear communication from head office and the retail side of things.

    Advice to Management

They should compensate their workers more as well as show appreciation for them. Many other carriers and companies go out their way to make sure their workers are happy improving worker retention.

    Pros

Excellent benefits. Good people. Decent pay. Brand genuinely trying to make change.

    Cons

Many layers; very top down organization. Ongoing changes and limited time for long term strategy and creativity. No consistency of levels or promotion requirements across company.

    Advice to Management

Focus and invest in new, younger talent and listen to them!

    Pros

Good commision structure; it was amazing a year ago and has gone down a bit, but overall, it's good. Key to be at a high volume store

    Cons

You could be number one in Canada and never get recognition from upper management unless you perhaps do other things to get there.

    Advice to Management

Keep the commissions as high as possible; that's what keeps the best sales reps from considering dealer locations.

    Pros

You will learn a lot about telecommunications and how to interact with customer. You will also learn on how to be more patient and you will develop some good character.

    Cons

I would say the salary because it's only 12,50$ and that, is after 3 months of integration at 11,50 and 3 weeks of training at 10.45$. The other thing would be it is so hard to have a shift change!!!

    Pros

    - Commission structure used to above average and provided high rewards for hard working employees (not anymore) - Discount on Rogers' services - Relaxed atmosphere depending on which location you work at

    Cons

    - Management has favorites and isn't afraid to show it - Upper management doesn't focus at all on supporting or developing top performers - Hard work goes unnoticed - Occasionally pushed to sell utterly useless products or services in the hopes of "raising ARPU" - Systems are a complete joke, computers/network crashes at least once a week - No communication between departments (call centers & retail) - You're made out to be the bad guy because "The guy on the phone said I could!" - Pay raises are cancelled out by the increase in minimum wage - Little to no room for advancement outside of retail - Current commission structure is well below the industry average

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your employees.
