I have been working at Fifth Third full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Steady pay check, average base pay for teller position, relatively stress free job.
Cons – Management is poorly trained and therefore so is staff, slow and outdated systems, locked into positions with little mobility inside individual branches.
Advice to Senior Management – Branch Managers and Customer Service Managers need more hands on and applied training, or visits from top management, vs eLearnings.

I have been working at Fifth Third
Pros – They offer occasional training and development programs. It is not as large as other banks so you may receive decent exposure.
Cons – Awful management. Unattainable sales goals. The core values are not followed my top management. Compensation programs are not very good.

I have been working at Fifth Third
Pros – Pay is ok, incentives are a ok but not the greatest, benefits are really good.
Cons – This bank wants you to sell sell sell!
I feel it takes away from giving customers a pleasant visit. They make it harder and harder to achieve goals which would mean more turnover.
Advice to Senior Management – They need to realize that selling isn't everything. Customers want to come in and be to do business without being harassed as soon as they come in. I think goals should be by branch and their traffic rather than have all banking centers be the same. When you live in a smaller community its harder to get referrals.

I have been working at Fifth Third
Pros – Co-workers are like family, everyone is very close. Management is very supportive and do their best to help you succeed.
Cons – The only downside I can think of is that Fifth Third does not have some of the technology that other major banks have now.
Advice to Senior Management – Become more competitive with technological advancements and be a little less conservative with interest rates because it is making younger customers go elsewhere.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
