    Tyranny - Stay faaar away

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Los Gatos, CA

    ProsDecent compensation and some decent people to work with

    ConsFiorano used to be a wonderful place to work in 5-7 years back. There was some really good technology built within the company. Now its just a slave shop run by a lavish CEO who does not care anymore about his employees as he cares about his company. The company is sent to the dogs and there is absolutely nothing remotely interesting happening within the company. Growth and appreciation is determined by this one person who knows too little of what is happening with the product. It does not know how to treat its employees. Where have you heard of saturdays being an official working day?. All in All, stay away and if possible run away.

    Good for starters, not for long timers

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsYou get a lot of room to expose your skills & get recognized by the managers & the management. No politics, simple norms. Gives a good start to your Career & chilled out space for freshers.

    ConsYou don't have a lot of different roles to play or grow beyond the first level, so you find yourself doing redundant jobs in a relatively short span. Your work will be recognized but not appreciated (just words are not enough). There is NO HR PROCESS at all (except for the exit), you have to remind people about everything. 10 hours work schedule becomes a overkill right after the first year.

    Advice to Senior ManagementDifferentiate performing employees by compensation & benefits, action speaks louder than words!

    Good work, Too many working hours

    Trainee Software Developer (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

    Pros* Good work and great experience, which can fetch you an awesome job within a year
    * Good life, frequent treats
    * Great increments
    * If you have no problem with 10hrs stay at the company, then after 3 years, then company will pay you anything but won't let you go

    Cons* Min 10hrs stay at company, 3rd saturday of the month working
    * Poor work environment, people talk on skype to the person sitting next instead of just going around to his seat and talk personally
    * Not so impressive salaries for freshers
    * Small size company

    Advice to Senior ManagementStart listening to your employees, and seriously no one really works for even 5hrs out of those 10, so y not reduce it to 8hrs a day and keep your employees happy and make Fiorano a worthy place to work

    ProsSalary offered is good.
    Lots of learning about the corporate world.

    Cons10 hours working everyday and some saturdays.
    Women employees can plan maternity only after they have completed 26 months of employment with Fiorano.
    F&F can be unexpected as training costs are deducted while quitting the organisation.
    Very few holidays and leaves.
    Lack of good HR policies and the policies tend to change overnight to suit the whims and fancies of the Management.
