Pros
Good work experience. Good opportunity for growth.
Cons
Salary not competative, upper management not in touch with day-to-day.
Pros
Best thing was the people.
Cons
Not enough opportunity to advance or grow.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide REAL opportunities for all employees not just a select few.
Pros
flexibility of home/work balance for employees.
Cons
communication from higher levels on down the ladder.
Pros
Pto program is outstanding, most of the Managers,( at least in background screening operations)..seem fair and nice to work with, No weekend work, Good life work balance,...not much micromanagement..The new CEO Andy Macdonald seems like a real nice and smart man. Company corporat in very good location in the Center of the beautiful Tampa Bay region pretty much..
Cons
Wasteful spending in some departments- some people seem like they do nothing, fool around talking and walk around all day with taking 10 breaks and get away with it! And that type of behavior for the low pay hereis contagious. Very Low Compenation its almost 2012- $10-12 hour entry level in most positions. Most jobs are 10 or 11! 12 is the very high end. Health Benefits subpar for the low wages they provide. People get away with taking too much days off with no notice. Production guidelines in some departments are very subjective and confusing and this also goes with the types of errors they are looking for. Training in some departments can be subpar..
Advice to Senior Management
Eliminate people who dont want to work, fool around all day and keep the people who wanna work, ahave a good work attitude- get rid of the tenured who miss days all the time and have slow production and high error rates. Have higher entry level standards with a higher pay rate to start and eliminate most temporary workers. This will stop the high turnover rate, and stope the constant retraining of employees. This will allow to have more career driven professional people work here and keep clients happy.
Pros
Nice benefit and PTO package.
Cons
New senior management not as good as previous management.
Pros
It is a good place to work to get some work experience and as temporary with no great hopes of career progression. Good if you a mother and you want a 8-4 job.
Cons
Not very good communication between members everything changes everyday and it can become a big mess. Long hours of work for some people who are suppose to be managers with very less pay
Advice to Senior Management
They should develop better skills, try to find the gems they have in their office and give them some work satisfaction as well with a better pay and recognition of their efforts.
Pros
Good Pay package based on the skill set you have
Cons
Work life balance depends on the Reporting Manager
Advice to Senior Management
Need to be more transparent
Pros
Autonomy. Told exactly what the goals/quotas are and given the opportunity to achieve stated goals without micromanagement.
Cons
Complete lack of innovation and follow through on improvement to products and services in an ever more competitive industry while trying to sell the most expensive product on the market. Holding on to sales reps who do not perform and allowing them to enjoy opportunities they shouldn't be in the seat to experience.
Advice to Senior Management
Innovate. Improve. Remain on the cutting edge. Don't simply talk about it; make it happen.
Pros
The best thing about First Advantage would be the people who work in roles below Manager. There is a lot of talented and intelligent people on the payroll who enjoy each others company. They do offer free coffee.
Cons
FADV is lead by what appears to be ungoverned, narcissistic policies deployed without thorough consideration as to the impact it could have on their own people and clients. Conformity and political alignment are frequently rewarded. The climate is burned out and constantly suspicious. People must do more with less and feel they are homogenous and disposable resulting in a colossal erosion of human potential.
Advice to Senior Management
Fix what is broken. Look at your attrition and promotion patterns. Take the pulse of the people in the trenches . Get to Indy and see for yourself. Create checkpoints and internal controls around maverick leadership decisions.
Pros
FADV still does good work, and has a culture of urgency. Initially, it adapted well to market forces and lead the field in a few important areas.
Cons
FADV was a place that did great work, grew quite fast, but did not keep pace with a market that changed quickly and significantly. Now the pricing is not competitive, and the quality of the work is no longer head and shoulders above the competition.
Advice to Senior Management
Get a much better handle on the rest of the market for purposes of pricing services and developing new technology offerings.
