Pros
One of the best manager's personality that I ever work for.
Manager is very dedicated and supportive to their employees.
Manager is trying to be fair to employees in term of paid and compensation.
These only applied to my direct manager.
Cons
Workaholic manager who is very dedicated to please upper management.
Unreasonable last minutes request regarding changes on things to accomplish on some days.
Advice to Senior Management
Leadership should takes less bonuses and distributed some to their employees. 10K bonus might not mean much for some of them, but if you distribute $2K to 5 of your employees might mean a lot for them.
Pros
They are a leader in the industry and have been for years.
Cons
Did not always exceed new customer's service expectations from day one.
Advice to Senior Management
Service is the key to new business and growth with prospective commercial clients.
Pros
Management that gets it. Good people to work with.
Cons
Too much work and too few people to get it done.
Advice to Senior Management
Know your employees limits and work them to the best of their abilities
Pros
Great company and good people
Cons
Current economy is impacting the ability to allow their employees to grow
Advice to Senior Management
Your employees are valued assets.
Pros
not a bad insurance program.
Cons
too many employees at all levels who don't want to compete in this changing market or provide good customer service.
Pros
Telecommuting, communication, and a great deal of support from the entire management team. They take care of their employees and make certain they have what they need to succeed.
Cons
I really don't have any to list. This has been the most stable and financially secure title company for which I've ever worked. They make sound decisions in the good times to help them during periods of crisis.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing exactly what you're doing. Your employees understand exactly what is expected of them and how to succeed and grow within the organization. Thank you!
Pros
Large national company with corporate benefits and focus on technology. Company flexes its size with the economy through layoffs and/or restructuring.
Cons
Work is not steady and peaks at certain times. Company is inflexible at lower management levels and limits time off requests.
Advice to Senior Management
Make better use of existing, in-place technologies and standardize the usage of proprietary software, nationally. Create panels of local users when considering software changes. Pay more for quality labor instead of less for substandard labor.
Pros
Not terrible, not great. Probably on par with the rest of the title companies. You could do worse. Just OK.
Cons
No real room for advancement. Management not always the best. Benefits could be more competitive. Need better communication and reward system.
Advice to Senior Management
Better Review system, better pay, better benefits. Show that you are invested in them and want them to do well.
Pros
Fair compensation, decent benefits, pleasant coworkers, a lot of learning opportunities, good team atmosphere in the best of times, telecommuting opportunities
Cons
Too much emphasis on speed and production, and it didn't always matter if there was a better or more accurate way of doing things, too much reliance on off-shoring work that came back sub-standard, walked into work every day toward the end wondering when the axe was going to fall, too much playing favorites from management.
Advice to Senior Management
Value the people that work hard for you, and be willing to invest in their time, education, and career advancement. Managers should not be able to promote their buddies that they smoke with, go out to bars with, or have lunch with every day unless they meet job qualifications, share concerns with employees instead of letting everyone guess when they're going to get laid off.
Pros
Fairly good benefits and a good deal on title insurance if you work there and buy a house.
Cons
If you don't mind being in a fishbowl and trying to function when there are no cubicles or areas of separation between desks, then this is the place for you. You can hear the person next to you bitching out someone after hanging up the phone. Quite a social hub for young people who work at Clearwater office.
Advice to Senior Management
Terminate the REO manager and your morale will increase 100%.
