    Pros

Busey leadership is strong, and they are always on the leading edge of new developments. The people that work there are great and there is always a positive atmosphere. Busey is involved in the various communities where their offices are located and many of their employees volunteer in community activities.

    Cons

Supervisors are not always alert to underlying causes of job performance. I think this is true of many companies.

I have been working at First Busey full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hires from within, good incentives for reaching sales goals, upper management is very involved with employees, good benefits, a comfortable work environment.

    Cons

The pay is low in comparison to other banks.

    Advice to Management

Consider an annual bonus for ALL employees regardless of status in b5 and raising pay to match other banking institutions in our area.

Busey Bank is an incredibly flexible place when it comes to working around your personal scheduled and requesting days off.

    Advice to Management

Busey Bank was an enjoyable experience for me because it allowed me to work around my class schedule, but I would have liked to been offered a job after college.

    Pros

-Talented people in the investment arena -Learn a lot of transferable business skills -Resume builder -Can lead to full-time offer -Good networking opportunities

    Cons

-Pay is lower -Sometimes work is not challenging (menial tasks) -Work to do during the day is sometimes limited -Employee time efficiency could be better

    Advice to Management

Allow interns and students to work in various departments of Busey (rotational program?). This includes loans, investments, and retail. It would help them see what their interests are if they intend on continuing a career with banking.
