    Pros

Ideal for entrepreneurial minded people wanting to establish their own business with unlimited earning potential. Basic business model and support in place with ample opportunity to define your market niche.

    Cons

Work hours driven by clientele with many clients making appointments during lunch hours and after normal work hours. Some clients prefer weekend appointments. Significant effort required to build clientele base.

    Advice to Management

While it is clear this type of work in this industry requires self motivated, self starters, training for those without a financial background could be significantly improved. More mentorship and hands on training would go a long way to improve high turnover rate.

    Pros

    Corporate Office Employee:
Values and mission that you can be proud of.
Pay is fair and retirement benefits are the best (ESOP)
Transparency and communication about company objectives and financials (rare for a private company)
Onsite state of the art gym with trainers and massage therapist
Newly formed Leadership Development group focused on employee training and career development - this will only get better.
Flexible work schedules depending on department and job duties.

    Cons

Company is still maturing in the area of change management and leadership, but improving as some of the old ideas and management styles are replaced with innovative thinking and strategy.

    Advice to Management

Continue to identify, develop and reward the up and coming stars. They are the future of the company.
Find ways to build the brand in the community. Hiring and retaining talent will be easier if everyone knows who we are and what a great purpose we serve.

    Pros

They buy a lot of lunches for their employees is the only good thing about this company

    Cons

Company lost its way after losing the law suit in 2004. The advisors are pushed to up sell investments that under perform the market to Service members. Advisors are encouraged to sell the funds that have the highest commissions for the sales rep regardless of the funds performance

    Advice to Management

You need to send clients surveys for the performance of their reps. Need to establish an inspector general to look for the shady practices ongoing

    Pros

    Great work life balance.
    Lovely co-workers.

    Cons

Lack of diversity in promotions and management.
Would rather go out and hire people who do a worse job than if they were to promote from within-in.
All the pay is concentrated in executive management, they get paid as though they are working for a fortune 100 company.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and share the wealth.
