I have been working at First Financial Bancorp full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

First Financial delivers competitive pay for new hires. From my experience in the corporate headquarters, people notice who goes the extra mile and those people are generally rewarded.

    Cons

Often times even though hard work is recognized and appreciated, pay increases and promotions can be insignificant causing good employees to leave to get the raise they deserve.

I worked at First Financial Bancorp full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

It is a very friendly company, and the work is not too bad. But two of my three managers meant well and were good to work for. I still keep in touch with a former co-worker. The office culture is not very flexible - there are strict rules about not hanging things up in your cube, and the meetings can be dominated by people who are not related to the work at hand.

    Cons

It is a large, complicated bureaucracy, and the projects and organization act accordingly. I started when it was much smaller - they bough five or ten other banks in five years, probably tripling in branches and deposits. Plus, a new regime made it more streamlined but less flexible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is no training - they are a bank and promote their loan and deposit programs only. There are no promotions unless you have the right friends. The employee discounts can be good, plus free coffee. Mostly pay attention to your people, and have a better review process - it is not good to only talk about your role and performance only once a year.

    Pros

First Financial really cares about their clients and staff member.

    Cons

Some methods to promote "brand awareness" can be ridiculous, such as going door to door (if you are in to that sort of thing then this would be perfect for you).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop trying to imagine what success looks like and focus on what you have been successful doing to this point.
