Former Employee – worked at First Financial Bancorp full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Small enough to feel friendly; some opportunities to advance, specifically in sales roles; values and culture well-defined (and a few of the key leaders promote them); incentive programs for individual and corporate performance
Cons – Frequent reorganization; little interaction with senior management; poor communication; customer service varies; have let some experienced and capable people go to cut costs while letting less productive people remain
Advice to Senior Management – Let things work before changing them. Reward and appreciate talent at all levels.

Former Employee – worked at First Financial Bancorp
Pros – The people are great; although the level of competence amongst employees has gone down significantly over the past couple of years.
Cons – Greedy senior management that opted for big bonuses to forgo annual increases for all staff, including front line tellers (senior management should be REQUIRED to work in a teller window for one week at the beginning of their employment, regardless of their position). Senior management does not care about employees or the opinions of employees. Several senior managers lie on a regular basis to protect their own mistakes and inadequacies. Even if employees thought they could be honest on the extraordinarily expensive "engagement survey" (and they don't), they know that senior management does not care to improve. No work life balance. Constant "strategic initiatives" to reduce staff so employees are always on edge.
Advice to Senior Management – Start getting out of your ivory tower and get to know staff and at least pretend to care about them and their careers.

Current Employee – been working at First Financial Bancorp
Pros – Co- Workers in general have very good personalities and try to make banking fun. The company cares about their employees as much as they do there customers. Company loves to hire within and usually does a good job recognizing employees for their good work. Products offered to customers are very competitive which makes it easier for an employee to sale to their customers with out any unethical pressure.
Cons – First Financial is still realitively small compared to other banks. If you are unsatisfied with living in the midwest, their are not any physical First Financial Banks located any where else. Occasionally work on saturdays. Pay is fair
Advice to Senior Management – My senior managment and most people I have met in this bank have been very fun and outgoing. Great group of people who work hard. But that is only my experience.

Former Employee – worked at First Financial Bancorp part-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Flexible hours, decent pay, lovely co-workers and clients, professional setting. You really feel like you can make a difference in the lives of customers.
Cons – The company is cutting back financially = little or no raises for its employees, work parties have been cancelled, huge push for sales, sales, sales (which is annoying).
Advice to Senior Management – Do more to increase employee morale.
