Pros
It was a great place to work in the boom, as the talent was great.... no one is left
Cons
Senior level management lacked innovation, and the way of doing things was ancient.
Advice to Senior Management
Mostly new management since I was there... seem to be doing better considering the economy.
Pros
was a young culture, benefits were good when times were good
Cons
layoffs were a constant fear
workload increased without pay increase or even title promotions
Pros
The company offers a descent benefit package and 401(k), although they don't match. They have good office locations thoughout the USA.
Cons
A lot of people work really hard and don't ever get recognized for the work they do. Management- middle management- takes credit for work done by others to get money/incentives.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior/Execitive management should better monitor middle management; a lot of people work really hard at lower levels, only to have middle management take and get credit for work they didn't even do.
Pros
Lean company after 5 rounds of cuts
Cons
No growth in foreseeable future. Likely candidate to be bought for assets alone.
Advice to Senior Management
Grow or be eaten by bigger fish.
Pros
There honestly aren't many right now. They are on very shaky financial ground and need to monetize a significant amount of assets to meet $125MM debt maturity in July 2009 and in a very sketchy sales market.
Cons
Ability to cover operating costs is very dependent on capital markets which are currently very unfavorable.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior management is all new. Since they have yet to announce their strategy, advice would be based on historical events only.
Pros
good training ground and exposure
Cons
lack of mentorship and leadership
Advice to Senior Management
to be big picture in the development of the company
