Start your career here, but know when to move on!

Account Representative (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsGreat study material to get you educated on investments and life insurance vehicles. The licenses you earn here are transferable to other financial service companies.

ConsManagement only looks out for themselves. They throw you to the wolves and only go to see the clients YOU bring in to the company if they know they will get a larger commission off of YOUR sale.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay attention to the newbies. They are putting money into your pocket for a good chunk of time before they move up the ranks. Don't pick and choose which appointments you go to - know the value in every client and be aware that every appointment is important to a new rep.

Good company if it's the path you're shooting to follow.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFlexible schedule once established. Good products. Fun environment. Good trips if you qualify for them.

ConsNo benefits because you're an independent contractor.

Advice to Senior ManagementCareful not to try and put too much demand on your reps when they're on independent contractors and you're providing no benefits to back them up.

It's been an ok journey so far.

Financial Services Representative (Current Employee) Phoenix, AZ

    ProsDecent environment to work in.
Get to meet several new people out there that need financial questions and concerns answered.

ConsLack of support once testing for licenses is done.
May need a deep pocket to get the ball rolling at first.

    Employee for 11+ years

Financial Service Representative (Current Employee) Westbury, NY

ProsPaid initial training program, they paid for my licenses, continuous training, company culture, nature of business, work schedule, compensation, income opportunity, work/personal life balance, support of management, reputable company with well-respected products

ConsFirst year or 2 requires a large commitment of time/training; it is very easy to quit in the beginning, flexibility of schedule is not right for everyone

Advice to Senior ManagementI feel upper management does a very good job of implementing comprehensive training, to give the new candidate the best chance of success; but it is ultimately up to each person to put in the work.

    Its an OK Company

Registered Representative (Former Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsYou learn sales, can get a good start in financial services, and can meet some friendly people.

ConsThere was not very much honesty with the prospective employees, and they mis-classify you as a independent contractor, yet try to tell you your working hours (hint-illegal)

Advice to Senior ManagementBe honest with employees and stop breaking the law!

    Do not work here

Financial Services Representative (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsThis can be a stepping stone. Get licensed and move on to real companies where they actually pay..

ConsEverything. No pay. Making your family the first targets.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou know you have to do something about the compensation... No wonder a lot of employees leave the company to get real jobs
