    Pros

Average pay and benefits. Company is making some changes for the better and has a bright future.

    Cons

If you are not in the home office or the same city as your department manager, it is a bit frustrating as you will be late to the game on upcoming policy chages

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Heading in the right directions so keep it up.

I worked at First Tennessee Bank full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, benefits, optional additional training formats, corporate culture, great for women interested in advancing career, out of the 4000 employees most are women, number of awards for family friendly work environment,

    Cons

Vacation 2weeks takes - 5yrs to get 1 additional week 10yrs max out at 4 weeks, treated like an hourly employee even though paid salary, management needs improvement, communication between departments causes miscommunication among employees which leads to issues with customers, limited training for upper level positions

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

enhance training format-toward degrees, certifications, specialization in all relevant business functions
time-off should accrue instead of partially awarded during year to avoid docking employees that choose to leave company for vacation, need more testing of qualified candidates, build a true corporate culture of doing the right thing that will add value to the human capital element by ensuring all elements of employee needs are met, avoid skeleton departments

    Pros

The employees and used to be the bonuses but they change so often I'm not sure how they are now.

    Cons

    Not fair all the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trying soft implementing a rule first. Meaning see how it really works with the company goals and present policies before punishing employees.

I have been working at First Tennessee Bank full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

First Tennessee provides the opportunity to have a flexible schedule. There are several community involvement initiatives and employee appreciation events as well.

    Cons

Pay is average and while you may get a promotion, you are not likely to get a pay increase. Some people continue to work at an entry level position years later even though their job responsibilities have increased greatly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In order to retain talent, you have to be willing to pay people their market value.

    Pros

Good pay! Good benefits and plenty of overtime work offered!

    Cons

Very strict about time-offs! After 3-4 unexcused absences, you would be given a warning and then fired! If you have a medical condition, better keep a doctor's note to save yourself from getting fired!
