    Pros

Good pay! Good benefits and plenty of overtime work offered!

    Cons

Very strict about time-offs! After 3-4 unexcused absences, you would be given a warning and then fired! If you have a medical condition, better keep a doctor's note to save yourself from getting fired!

    Pros

The opportunities are there if you are willing to step out and take them.

    Cons

This financial institution as with others listens to customer surveys and positive and negative feedback is considered. When negative feedback occurs, there is no chance to respond.

    Pros

They encourage you to do your best and the supervisors are very supportive. They have great benefits and are very family oriented.

    Cons

They constantly test you and review your performance. If you get a person who has an agenda and gives you a ad review, then you you cannot appeal it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more sympathetic to your employees and make sure they have enough training before you put them in a position and then seek to criticize them for their performance.

it is a good company but it will be nice if the employee will get an alert in time prior to downsizing

    Pros

Benefits can get better and when someone looses an intermediate or non intermediate family member show some type of consideration towards that employee. Especially when that employee is a team player, made the entire staff and corporation look well.

    Cons

some of the challenges here is dealing with managers getting intimidated if employee grasping more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Holding grudges towards previous employee that has been downsized and refuse to rehire the employee. Supervisor in the Adjustments/Research area needs to repent, she's very wicked and will spread rumors on employees who has been downsized due to her envious ways. What goes around will come back around and you will reap what you sow

    Pros

opportunities to advance, accessibility to management, recognition, thorough and ongoing training, big bank features but in a community environment

    Cons

technologically inconsistent, small if any annual raises despite excellent performance, high turnover rate, non user friendly online banking, pushing "concierge" model regardless of market environment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keeping up with competition is necessary, but it shouldn't be a priority above the customers and the employees. Prior to my leaving, they were converting our branches into concierge banks. We were located in a small community with mostly older customers. They were very upset with the change. Also, we had to rely heavily on the float staff. We had at lease one floater at our branch every day for over 6 months. Every floater that came to assist us was very unhappy with how chaotic and unpredictable their schedules were. Within my 10 months of working at First Tennessee, my branch and it's sister branch, lost 6 employees due to turnover. The only factor in common with everyone leaving was our manager. Rather than address the problem, they promoted this manager and allowed us to pick up the slack and operate without any management for about 3 months. I quit before I heard any word of getting a manager in place.
