    Pros

Products are based on some interesting technology.
Most associates are good to work with.
    Keep the company revenues growing.

    Cons

Reorganizations happen often and little explanation of why is provided.
There isn't any type of 360 degree review to provide feedback on management types that are bullies.
Company is run by an accountant - not an IT visionary.

    Pros

Whether you have a good or bad boss is a hit or miss at Fiserv. The mgmt team play internal politics a considerable amount of time. Given this, departments do not always work well with each other or meet the promise of the "one Fiserv" goal to deliver the best results to the customer.

    Cons

Mgmt is too focused on quarterly revenue. Staff is overworked which results in people not being able to utilize all their PTO days or have anytime to focus on professional development, which is 100% self directed here.

    Pros

    Telecommute
Promotion opportunities if you know the right people
    Casual dress
    Employee recognition program (via peers)
If you get in with the right clique, your career there is limitless (while your morals become extinct)

    Cons

Silos. They are still functioning as a holding company instead of an operating company. Yabuki has no desire to invest in internal operations which is evidenced by the lack of a corporate c-level operating role. And the miserable experience that is trying to work across the company.

The good ol' boys club aka the (former) Checkfree executive club. If you voice an opinion or suggestion that these guys/girls don't like, you are out. Watched it happen to many. The tops execs also hire buddies from former companies and turn it into the other side of the good ol' boys club. Or, they hire who they're sleeping with.

The benefits are horrific. Over $6k in annual deductible, at a monthly cost of over $200. Fiserv gives you like $400 towards that. Worked there over 6 years and insurance never paid a bill.

Watch your back. Reorganization is constant and you're never quite sure why nor does it ever help. Just instilling the fear. And you're told if you don't like it, there's the door.

Yabuki took a multi-million dollar bonus during a year he didn't allow bonuses anywhere in the company, due to "the economy".

Their infrastructure is a disaster. No investment or management. End of life, out of support across the board. Ask their clients how often their systems go down. Every day is a fire fight.

You'd better be willing to fight dirty and be dirty to succeed.

    Advice to Management

You're the problem. The board needs to read these reviews and do something about you. That's the only way this place will turn around.

    Pros

Working in the financial area was not terrible, depending on if you were accounting, tax, or finance. The campus in Norcross is really nice, wooded, great walking areas, on-site gym and cafeteria.

    Cons

The annual raises are a joke. Maybe it was my department, but for the long hours and heavy requirements I saw a fraction of a dollar increase in my pay. The company has a TON of businesses under the umbrella and half of them are an accounting nightmare. Once acquired most of the old staff is let go, so good luck finding out any valuable historic information. Lots of temp employees vs regular full timers.

Some smart people who don't stay long or who are shown the door

    Cons

Employee development , the not so "Silicon Valley" software development(ie...not happy, friendly or well paid$. stealth layoffs and firings, lots of turn over. Bad benefits.

If you are willing to put in the effort, it's a great place for a long-term career. Depending on where you work, there are opportunities for advancement and growth. There is a huge amount of change occurring but in the company, but it's mostly positive.

    Cons

Extremely strict IT policies can make it hard to do your job.

    Advice to Management
