Some smart people who don't stay long or who are shown the door

    Cons

Employee development , the not so "Silicon Valley" software development(ie...not happy, friendly or well paid$. stealth layoffs and firings, lots of turn over. Bad benefits.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    Pros

The workplace itself is very relaxed and the people are very nice. As an intern I gained a lot of experience in the business world. The company did a great job with their intern program and helping us get exposed to the real world.

    Cons

A lot of backwards and time consuming processes. There are a lot of very incompetent employees who.

    Pros

Good salary, people relatively nice but very clique-ish, opportunity to learn a lot

    Cons

Feels that each department is a separate company, job security can be a concern when one sees so many changes although since I joined the company have not heard of any layoffs in the past year.

    Advice to Management

Way too many changes and not a whole lot of explanations

    Pros

    Structured, compliances, quality work.

    Cons

No growth opportunity, old fashion micro managers, insecure management, favoriteism, low salary, no development opportunity, employees are just a number, no appreciation for quality work, no recognition, unprofessional and weak management.

    Advice to Management

Let your employees be recognized for job well done and help them grow. It will only make you look better. Do not stop their growth to keep your department in tact. Appreciate and reward a good employee.

    Pros

They offer free bagels every other Friday

    Cons

Undelivered pay increases & bonuses, they promise but dont deliver.

C levels who can't run reports & have no idea how systems work. You'll often find yourself doing their job.

Managers who provide no training or direction to new employees, they often have to seek out help from peers.

Weekly IT meetings are screaming matches between developers

    Pros

    Work from home (remote)
    Flexible Schedule
Paid the Bills, but that wasn't enough to keep me tolerating the dysfunctional environment

    Cons

    Everything else.
Managers can be belligerent and no one seems to care
Change processes (that don't work) every other month to processes that continue to not work
BU and other entities don't seem to talk to each other (get on same page)
Projects don't have a beginning and an end.. they go on and on (people quit every other day). HIGH TURNOVER!..

    Advice to Management

Get a entirely new Sr. management team..People keep leaving for a reason... THE TURNOVER IS REALLY HIGH.. look at the management.. It can't be all of those people leaving regularly. Hardly anyone has been there over a year!
