I have been working at Fiserv full-time for less than a year
Pros – Fiserv has great benefits- insurance plan is the best that I have seen in an employer. They also promote Weight Watchers and have some fun competitions to keep you physically active. The people in Sioux Falls, SD are a good group and will always help you when needed.
Cons – Training "program" is horrible for new employess. It was basically like you start and figure things out for yourself as you go along. There wasn't ANY formal training in my position which makes it a little scary considering you have to present yourself to banks who have purchased Fiserv products. Things are constantly changing, which is expected when working with software and technology but it's almost like you never get an opportunity to fully grasp the software before it changes.
They try to promote "one Fiserv" but it's nearly impossible. There are times I will have to speak with 5 different people before finding someone who knows the answer.
Advice to Senior Management – TRAINING! TRAINING! TRAINING! If you want to keep employees for the long-term, please make sure they have the proper training off the bat.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – Free coffee.
Job security due to turnover. They can't afford to fire anyone.
Get hired right away.
Cons – Management is too far removed from the workers. Managers are managing products they don't know anything about. Departments are run with different company policies although the motto is One Fiserv. The company response to negative feedback is if the employee no longer works at Fiserv then their reasons for leaving are not taken into consideration as an opportunity to better the work environment. Fiserv sent out their own internal survey and they never revealed the results, rather sent it to the employees manager who confronted the employees about their negative feedback. Stay far away from this company unless you are in desperate need of money. They have a lot of jobs that are really slack and serve well as a job filler but will not lead to a career.
Advice to Senior Management – Take employee surveys seriously and review managers that receive poor reviews. Do no be afraid to admit a mistake if putting someone in the wrong role.
