I worked at Fish Window Cleaning part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great place to work with room for advancement for someone hard-working and willing to go through the growing pains. It's not the job for everyone, but for someone that is looking for a 'blue-collar' job or wants to work days and do on line schooling at night, it's perfect.

    Cons

Sometimes the complexity of management decisions were a bit confusing. Also, it's a commission based position so unless experienced, you first paychecks are not going to be huge.

I worked at Fish Window Cleaning part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I really enjoyed going to different places and working independently. The work was consistent and the management was very friendly. As long as the job was completed then I was left alone to do my work and not micro managed.

    Cons

It is real physical. There are times when the heat is really pounding on you body. This is not for light weights.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should really be more incentives. Do not discourage tips.

    Pros

The best cleaning company with the best office staff in the Coachella Valley. You never
have to worry about your windows, etc. getting done properly. Fish Window Cleaning is
    outstanding with excellent devoted employees.

    Cons

I worked at Fish Window Cleaning part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The atmosphere is generally great with nice people to work with/for. The job itself is active which can be a health benefit. Depending on the prices given, some jobs are worth it.

    Cons

The overall pay to the cleaners is certainly not anything to survive on. Travel expenses ar generally not reimbursed in accordance to current gas prices and regular vehicle maintenance. A lot of times, the sales people underbid a job and waste the time of the cleaners. Winter work is a huge health risk. Turn over rates are high. Since it is a blue collar, non-permanent job, the character of some employees is usually negative/rude.

I worked at Fish Window Cleaning full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Friendly employees. Internal promotion (mixed bag)

    Cons

The hourly employees are chattel in the eyes of the management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring in some professional outsourced managers. Be a bit more Christian-valued, since you're representing a Christian company.

I worked at Fish Window Cleaning full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The training is good, once you have the technique you're pretty solid. The customer base is established for you and the pay is alight for what it is.

    Cons

Cleaners or management, not a lot of room for advancement. Seems like a little too much bureaucracy for such a small operation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

have a training session on customer relations and how to handle difficult situations.

I worked at Fish Window Cleaning part-time

    Pros

    Friendly workers and management
Really easy work for the most part.
you can make your own hours most of the time

    Cons

They don't compensate for gas..and you're going to be using a lot of it
The work is repetitive and tedious. Probably obvious going in, but don't expect this to be fun. You may be working alone a lot.
Most stores are undercharged...workers will only make 1/3 of the charge and it is often 12-25 dollars per store. It doesnt take long to do each store, but the time you spend driving adds up to hours a day, so you don't make more than 8 dollars an hour
No room to grow. You aren't going to be getting a raise, or promoted, simply because the company isn't big enough for that to happen
Work is not very consistent. You might have a lot one week, then the next an empty plate

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay for gas, charge stores more.

I worked at Fish Window Cleaning

    Pros

    Making sales are fairly easy
    Good for 1st sales job
There is time devoted for professional development
    Great office environment

    Cons

In my territory a lot of driving was required for sometimes little reward. The commission rate was fairly low on often small accounts. You have to maintain a high continuous volume.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bonuses or upgraded compensation is needed for sales people with track record of success. The greatest incentive is for the owner to be the salesperson. Not much room for advancement as a salesperson.
