    Pros

Friendly people, easy going, employees are friends among themselves

    Cons

Lack of training for engineers, it is only available for managers, cafeteria sucks!
    management favoritism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your engineers, engineers and employees in general are not retarded they know and realize what is going on. respect their opinion; people are afraid to express concerns due to a retaliation from management.

I worked at Fisher & Paykel Appliances (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Innovative and break through product. Culture of "fun". Some fantastic office support in SoCal.

    Cons

If you have an accent or are male, you are in line for a promotion despite your destructive vices such as, but not limited to: drugs, alcoholism, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, etc. Expect to be disrespected, abused, misused, underpaid, unappreciated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay to retain your top performers. Forget everything that brought success in other countries. Realize that women have an important role in your future success.

I worked at Fisher & Paykel Appliances full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

For the most part you make your own schedule based on your territory needs, good vacation time, decent benefits, pay for tolls, pay for mileage.

    Cons

constant emails, they give you old computers that were allready used by other reps and are very, very slow, they just upgraded to blackberries, employees are never told they are doing a good job, they always give you more work, and less pay. Communication between managers and reps do not exist you are expected to know what to do and than when you dont you get yelled at for it, when you werent even aware to do it in the first place. If upper management does not like you or you dont kiss there ass, they will write you up for not making your budget and than eventually fire you, if your a great brown noser than this maybe the company for you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

i worked my ass off for this company and actually enjoyed what i was doing and was passionate about it, there were many nights i worked over time and nothing was ever appreciated. They appreciate there workers by laying them off, while telling them they are doing a great job! I wouldnt recommend anyone applying to them.

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, few administrative overhead, internal refectory

    Cons

administrators take the credit, but do not take the blame for wrong or poor decisions, HR virtually absent, decision process obscure, some key area is tied to an old scool management system.

Hostile work environment. Total Management Incompetence. Foreigners that look down on Americans. Known product defects.

I worked at Fisher & Paykel Appliances

    Pros

Small Company mentality. They like to party. Good product training.

    Cons

Company does not follow through on committments to Dealers or Salespeople. Virtually NO US marketing. Everything that goes wrong is the fault of the Sales Reps. Insisting on selling products with known defects. Promotions within the company have always been reserved for New Zealanders and Australians. They do not want any input from Americans. They have alienated many, many quality appliance dealers.

I worked at Fisher & Paykel Appliances

    Pros

Relaxed and laidback environment, subsidised lunches, lots of free parking, in good location. Not very farr from the CBD. Friendly environment.

    Cons

Recently company is cutting many costs, job losses, redundancies, shifting factories to asia for cheaper labour. Asked employees to work fewer hours. In a competitive whiteware market.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of concentrating on making high technology products you should concentrate on making simple and effective products that does the job the same. Also concentrate more on the Indian and Asian markets instead of USA.
