I worked at Fitness Connection full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Wait, there are pros? Uhm let's see. Yeah I got none.

    Cons

This was the worst job I've ever had. I have never walked into such an unorganized mess. I unethically got fired. I had bronchitis and I was not being paid. Literally I learned NOTHING ABOUT THE COMPANY. NOR ITS VALUE. I was told "here call and set appointments." Out of the century membership manual set up. No type of organization or operation. No one has respect for each other or their own gym. I am never going to set foot inside this facility again. Fitness Connection will never make a mark if its like this. Oh and BTW I was totally disgusted by most of the managers acting like children checking out and talking about women in such a I'll manner. I am so ashamed to have been part of this company. I would much rather work as a janitor. I have worked for another fitness facility before this and there is no comparison to how much value this company lacks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Fitness Connection full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The job itself is fairly easy and you get to meet many different people from all walks of life.

    Cons

If you are on salary then you are practically married to your job. You get one day off a week and are scheduled 10+ hours most days. Senior management is very negative most of the time and sets unrealistic goals for its employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop overworking your employees and the high turnover will drop off. Coach up your staff and make them feel like a valued part of the team instead of expendable.

    I worked at Fitness Connection

    Pros

Very easy and offers a lot of hours to work. Get to meet alot of people that I interacted with on the daily basis.

    Cons

Upper management tends to take advantage of the front desk to do their job a lot of the time and not very reasonable to getting days off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more opportunites available for lower positions and not take as much advantage of the other employees. Also be more reasonable to letting employees getting days off.
