I have been working at Five Guys Burgers & Fries full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The atmosphere totally breeds having a fun time at work and enjoying the time with customers, making great burgers. Who doesn't love a burger and fry? The fries were the best. Free meals too.

    Cons

No one is full time hiring people to replace any holes in scheduling. The wage was lower than average for me, but I'm sure it differs from franchise to franchise or even in corporate stores.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The general and assistant general managers, well, there needs to be more money in it. 26k for assistant is horrible.

I worked at Five Guys Burgers & Fries full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A nice variety of employees ranging from all different areas of the world. Easy to get along with and build person relationships with.
Time-off policies are fair. You request time off a few days to 2 weeks ahead of time and it is almost always fulfilled.
The company values are respectable. Dress-code and other guidelines are fair and not too-strict. Perfect for the average teen or entry-level worker.

    Cons

Leadership/management is horrible. They tell you one thing than another and everything becomes unclear when you go to complete a task you feel you are thrown into a shark tank tied down trying to figure out a way to escape.
Training is very limited and most supervisors/managers don't seem to care too much about training new employees.
The owners don't seem to care for employee satisfaction. They care al about their money and person needs of the company, rather than if an employee is happy and/or taken care of their needs/wants.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on better training your managers/supervisors and focus a bit more on employee satisfaction. Focus and improve on these two aspects and less employees will complain and leave your company as well as new employees will feel more welcomed to start. I believe Jerry Murrell and the rest of the Murrells have implemented a great system but
