    You Desire Better

    I worked at Fleetcor

    Pros

You can get paid to continue searching for a job. Now that's on the job training. That is as pro as it gets. Oh wait I believe now they are paying people not to sue them. There you have it two positive things to say.

    Cons

They make movies about places like this. Management selects whom they feel comfortable to make a few dollars, by providing under the table leads. The company is one big freaking Con, top down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire any and everyone that does not interact with clients directly. After your done with that everyone left in management exit a top floor window head first.

I have been working at Fleetcor

    Pros

    Laid back environment
    helpful Coworkers
great company activities like Bowling, tennis, golf, spades tournament, boot camp, and football leagues

    Cons

    Political
it's all about who you know...
only 1 person one on every team will make their quotas and that's because that one person is getting fed leads...
unprofessional sales reps, lots of profanity used on the floor.
Majority of your sales are self sourced...
the company gets paid by charging customers extremely high fees which are not disclosed doing the initial process to the customer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get on the same page..
why feed only one sales rep why not feed your entire team and distribute the leads evenly... it looks extremely obvious when you only have one person on a team getting paid while the rest are struggling..

Working in Customer Service at Fleetcor

I have been working at Fleetcor full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Compensations is adequate and competitive for this type of position, including incentives and quarterly bonuses

    Cons

Unreasonable workload expectations. In addition to handling customer calls, daily assignment of emails, faxes
& letters but very little free time off of phones given to devote to these. Major systems problems/outages on a daily basis that seem to have no permanent resolution.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You claim to value your employees but don't seem to care that you expect more than is reasonable for us to handle, even with the best time management possible

    Pros

The company has good benefits and that is about all.

    Cons

Low paying sales job and you are left mentally drained at the end of the day. It is a revolving door. It is said the company is a form of modern day slavery. The employees have very little class as well. Customer Service is forced to lie to customers about their fees. Sales people lie and force Customer Service to clean up their mess. The company charges high late fees from $75 to almost $5,000 plus when an account is only 1 day late paying. They cheat their customers and use their employees. It is a get rich quick scam of a company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your people and have Best Practices in place. If you paid better, you'd attract better employees.

    Pros

There is very little to elaborate on here. Other than their basic services are needed in the fleet industry. The problems arise in how upper management and corporate officers implement and service their products.

    Cons

There are far to many negatives to adequately elaborate on in this format. Suffice it to say you will not be happy here in the long run. And very shortly after coming on board you will be looking for other opportunities. The pay is definitely sub par, ( unless your in management) the benefits average at best except for the 401K which is most sub par compared to similar size companies. The pressure to perform and exceed the wall street expectations of the stock price forces upper management from the EVP of sales and up to make decisions that border on illegality to at the very least unethical. Employees are not valued and only treated as a expendable commodity. Pay increases are non existent (been here 6 yrs with no salary increase) commissions are complicated and too many ways to lose money, car allowance way below industry standards, and they even greatly reduced their presidents clubs rewards. So even if you are consistent top performer they decided to reduce your extra earnings. There is a very high employee turnover and now extreme micromanagement thanks to recent decisions by EVP of sales. It is most surprising that government agencies have not examined this company. There are numerous law suits by current and former employees and that information is highly controlled by management and HR. Hopefully some day soon a class action lawsuit will by filed. Count me in !

    Pros

You still see many nice people around ...

    Cons

One would soon became aware that he/she got into the wrong place to work at soon after employed. One of my teammates started looking for new job in 2 weeks after joined the company due to the unfriendly environment. So, run and never come back; or do enough research before you decide to join...

So many layers of dictatorship and evaluation parties toward your professional work in this IT department - a few VPs/managers seem never happy with anyone's work; plus, the direct reporting manager dares not to stand by your side, one would soon become burnout of the environment. The result is that new people come in and leave soon.

One word to the management team, almost all of the IT professionals are dedicated and strive to gain a feeling of achievement thru their hard/talent work, however, if they found that there is not a good environment for them to do so, they would have to choose to leave. My experience told me that you cannot get a decent working environment at FleetCor due to the incapability of the managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The CEO should really train his IT managers - especially the senior managers - to behave properly. If a manager is not capable to adequately make use of the team members' talents, rather, can only show his/her bossy (but non-professional) attitude and criticism, you become the loser since you cannot keep the dedicated professional working for the company.

    Pros

    Acceptable culture regarding employee engagement

    Cons

Stressful working environment, crazy release schedule, a lot of weekend and extra day work. Management is a joke and there is way too much favortism that goes on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have no advice to upper management because they don't listen nor do they care. I was never so happy to turn my badge in. Employees are tired of the overtime and all the B.S. management put them through.
