    Pros

    No massive lay off in bad years. A good place to learn market and trading system. The business expends quickly. Well known in industry

    Cons

    Compensation is less than the market. Bonus is too low. You have to negotiate with the CEO for all year end compensation revisions.

    A very good work-life balance.
    Very relax work environment very unlikely for a finance-software firm.

    Cons

    This place is not meant for ambittious people.
    It has a very laid back working culture.

    Pros

    You can do things any way you like as long as it works and clients are happy with it and keep paying the bill. One can learn/try something new instead of same old - same old.

    Cons

    Anybody can do things any way they like as long as it works and clients are happy with it and keep paying the bill.
    Such a simple thing as a software release check-list is something everybody talks about necessity of and nobody creates one because nobody would be using it anyway because it is not required :-)

    not much financial incentives to do things more efficiently.

    Pros

    Unlimited sick leaves. Ofcourse be careful not to misuse. Paperwork,accounting,hr etc is good.

    Cons

    It's a bureaucratic place. Only 150 ppl in office with CEOs office right there, but voices are never heard. A lot of politics as well. Don't expect to have a learning curve, because nothing new is being done.

    No advice will work.

    Pros

    Have some smart programmers, good place to start out and learn the trade. Decent pay & bonuses, but must justify salary raises , bonuses and promotions each year with the owner. Well known in industry, well funded, and looks good on resume.

    Cons

    Company is privately owned and help run by family members & close friends(nepotism), even though some are not qualified to hold exec & senior positions. Not much culture or team building, unless you can be a "Yes-man" to upper management. No point bringing up things that's lacking in the company to HR, since they are there to please owner & keep the peace.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay to retain top talent and promote Senior Leadership Team(SLT) that are NOT family & friends. This is to show fairness and career advancement with the company. Of course SLT, should have some say & power, not just a title.

    flat organization structure, given the chance to take charge of projects, quite a lot to learn

    seems management doesn't put much emphasis in technology advement

    Pros

    Work is decent if you land in a good team though it quickly gets saturated as the scope of your work is limited

    Cons

    This company is a family owned business, the family will not hesitate to squeeze off the employees until the last penny.Proof is that you have to negotiate with the CEO for all year end compensation revisions.
    Compensation is way less than the market.Negligible perks.Bonus is too low.
    Employment is offered only to those desperate ones who will join at the lowest salary possible.
    Promotion is hard to come by.

    Stop just collecting money,start caring for employees.

    Pros

    Small company with lots of hats to wear at any given time.
    A huge presence in the industry, and their name on a resume will open doors.

    Cons

    Management is based on nepotism and whims.
    There is not really a structure that supports employee growth.
    Bonuses are based on CEO's feelings rather than reviews.
    Management tends to like docile employees and cannot be challenged in any way.
    They equate presence at your desk as productivity, not actual work.
    Regardless of how much you do, if you are not popular with management, you will not go anywhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Learn how to manage people and let them grow. It is better to admit you are wrong and create a great working environment, than insist you are right and bad one. Also, people in management roles should learn how to manage. Just look at your turn around rates...they are rather high.

    Job security is good, exposure to a industry standard trading systems

    Cons

    Client Support developer is mostly overworked,no good work/life balance, work from home not provided for all employees and not encouraged even if provided
    Favoritism from higher level management
    very stressful job, pay not commensurate with work done.
    No great benefits compared to industry
    no career advancement programs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    improve benefits, provide more flexibility in work , hire more people
