I have been working at FlightWorks full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great Management team. It is finally a place that is fun to work and encourages ideas and input. Co-workers are great and the company has really made improvements in the last 6 months.

    Cons

Almost too late on the changes. This was a challenging place to work up to six months ago and the damage that the previous Managment did was almost too drastic to overcome.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work and continue to improve the communicaitons throughtout the company!

    Cons

Upper management does not communicate to outside offices. HR dept was clueless. Direction of company is downward when commercial side loses money and customers yearly.

    Pros

Strong recognition within the business aviation community. Top notch equipment, nice facilities, high-end clients who appreciate good service. Above all absolutely no compromises on safety!

    Cons

Top leadership is both incompetent and unbalanced, runs the organization with a very short leash--'my way or the highway' mentality. Employees treated with little or no respect at almost all levels - like commodities rather than people. No meaningful communication down with employees and very little guidance / support provided. CEO resigned and left company in mid 2009 with no notice to employees, and other execs left suddenly after that with little or no explanation---one within just a few days of starting. Regret ever taking this job and glad to be somewhere else now..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please resign!

Outside of senior leadership, the people are great to work with.

    Cons

You aren't treated as a valuable employee. Senior leadership would not share information with employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sounds business principles will see this company flourish.
    Great ownership and stable workplace.
The company has dedicated itself to finder A+ winners at every management position - they are well-positioned for the future!
Well-balanced approach between commercial aviation and government contracts.

    Cons

Located in the Atlanta area can be challenging to attract and land top talent - so far, they have done an outstanding job.
They are in a building mode right now and so everyone is doing a little extra to get this company elevated to an industry leader.
Executive team needs to be invovled in all aspects of business right now until momentum and infrastructure is built.

I have been working at FlightWorks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Senior leadership has taken the necessary steps and cleaned out the ineffective leaders. This has unleashed a new type of communication and spirit at this company. I like the direction and recent investment in employee development. Also, the recent volunteer efforts by s core group of employees is welcomed by senior management.

    Cons

None at this time - but continue to move the culture shift forward that was started about 6 months ago.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep rolling forward with the plan you have installed.

    I worked at FlightWorks

    Pros

Other than management, the employees attempt to work as a team. Good people with good intentions. Aircraft are well maintained.

    Cons

As others have stated in previous reviews, the problem at FlightWorks is the executive team. They are incapable of running the company. I have never seen a larger, more fragile group of egos. They treat their employees as pawns, or worse. They have no clue what they are doing, and refuse to recognize that fact. They have a "bond" or "pact" that they will stay united, no matter what. The decisions they make are childish and unprofessional. There are a couple members of the executive team that have good intentions and may even mean well, but their "bond" keeps them from making good business decisions. Ironically, even with this bond they have, each of them keeps information from the others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    They do not take advice.
