    I worked at Floodbusters full-time

    Pros

    Always moving forward in their industry and improving over their competitors. Very customer based and a good company to work for if you are looking for a solid career.

    Cons

    Some of the smaller branches have a tendency to do things their own way and will go behind corporate's back to try and make a quick buck. It is usually best to try and work for larger or more dedicated branches.

    Advice to Management

    Keep a very close eye on some of the little guys.

    Pros

    Can make good money. Leads are provided. CEO of Basement System is very in touch with his business.

    Cons

    Can be slow during the winter. High pressure sales pressed on the home owner.

    Advice to Management

    Consider gas allowance

    Pros

    Nice building environment. It is clean. Free coffee. Plenty of work. A fast paced environment. There is plenty of training material and classes available.

    Cons

    Expensive health insurance. Low pay. No rewards for performance other than "good job". Very clicky. Strong Republican environment. There is a life size free standing display of Ronald Regan outside managements offices. I continually heard many derogatory ethnic comments from management. No contributory retirement plan.

    Advice to Management

    Offer a good health plan that is affordable. Give good raises and bonus rewards to people who are not managers. Clean up the defamatory office talk. Practice what you preach.
