    Pros

    People were nice, great students!

    Cons

Every month there is a new DOA or DOE. Admission come in and out like clock work. No stability, felt like you could get fired at any moment. Be ready to work during the holidays!

    Pros

Administrative Cared for students welfare. Some instructors cared, many didn't.

    Cons

No upper advancement for employees unless you've done underhandedness for ED, then promised promotion, sometimes one might get it, many did not. Don't complained might get cussed out by ED. ED would sneak into offices that were having meeting to find out what was being said. ED would reference students and employees with profanity in meeting. Put students down in front of staff. Many were bullied. Training was six weeks per class, declined to four weeks. It was difficult for students at 6 weeks, scary at 4 weeks, especially for medical students that go into the field working with patients in doctors offices. There wasn't training for employees. Only rants and profanity from Executive Director during every meeting. He would go on at how great he was at each meeting, not allowed to ask questions or opposed what was being said, unless wants to be berated in front of staff. ED arrives at campus after 1pm each day would run the school from his cell phone.
The cost of the programs were substantially high, higher than the schools in the area.
Save your anguish and money do not attend. Find a school with qualified training, actually care for students, and cost within industry standards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the uneducated ED (never finished 1 year of college). Find a leader with leadership skills that understands how to operate in a professional academic environment.

The investment groups that actually own the College and senior management at FCC do not care about anything but $$$$.

I worked at Florida Career College full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I wish there was a pro working for the company, but there really isn't. They owe money to the Federal government and many, many vendors. They owe money to students who are owed refunds and never receive them. The company owes money to former employees who had payroll deductions made for a retirement plan that the company walked away from.....overall, they are a group of thieves.

    Cons

Too many cons to write about....unless you are into corporate greed, taking advantage of poor people and making them poorer, lying, fraud, deception, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be nice if someone in management had ethics, compassion, moral fiber...but at present, and for a very long time, those characteristics don't exist at the College.

    Pros

Good pay. I guess because the high turnover rate they increase benefits and pay to lure people in but no matter what it's a crappy job.

    Cons

Knowing you are signing people up for a scam of a school. Pressure from lazy management. Constantly threatened about losing job. Brown nose your way to the top

I worked at Florida Career College full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Was a good place years ago. Anthem take over has ruined it, and worse, short term profits, and nothing but profits drives it. Students looking for IT are not getting placed in IT jobs and they are being lied to. Medical may still be ok, but nothing else.

    Cons

They let go of anyone truly education oriented, or they burn them out quick. No severance, no warning. With students you get caught between a rock and a hard spot. No support for academics. Getting worse by the week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Teach for two mods and see how it is in the trenches. Make a real effort to reach out to the community and create valid relationships with the businesses that are truly your clients so you and them can help the product which are the students. BE THE COLLEGE THAT CARES like you were supposed to be.

    Pros

They are very consistent. All the Florida Corporate big dawgs are JERKS. They only care about firing people so their pockets get more money. Dont care if you have three kids and actually need your job. Owners are all trust fund babies and have not earned a dime on their own. They lie and say they were one our 'our students'- yea no.

    Cons

Selling your soul to the devil

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend one month doing admissions- retention-placement-FA and see if you meet all your metrics that month

    Pros

The best reason to work here is if you need a job to hold you until you find a REAL job.

    Cons

Lies, asking admissions reps to lie to prospective students, people stealing you hard earned leads. Management giving your hard earned leads to other admissions reps and lying about it, the list goes on..............

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take some ethics classes.
