I have been working at Florida Hospital Heartland full-time

    Pros

Great Health Insurance Benefits, You meet a lot of great people, when you do well; your immediate supervisors are always recognizing you.

    Cons

I really enjoy working here, the only 'con' is that the rest of the hospital (nurses, administration, technicians) look down on you like your work is the easiest job on the planet and they don't know why they pay us. If only they knew that our work being accurate is what gets the hospital paid!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not much. I enjoy my time here. Sometimes they dont "stick up for us" when they receive complaints about us or when someone bad mouths us. So, my advice would be, if you treat us like our job is important, maybe the rest of the hospital will.

I worked at Florida Hospital Heartland as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Everyone there was very friendly and professional, and were also very helpful in teaching me about working in the IT field.

    Cons

There were some instances where it seems like upper management did not communicate clearly (or at all for that matter) with our department about projects they were planning. As a result, we would have to organize everything on a short notice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more organized and work on communicating more effectively.

Difficult location to recruit and retain staff due to a rural community, limited formal education opportunities in the community, Poor reimbursement requires us to work harder.
