    Pros

Not terrible pay, 50% matching dollars toward retirement, good workers, nice looking campus, most managers are helpful and accessible.

    Cons

Extremely Budget oriented, sometimes will note lack of needed supplies, many times run short staffed. Marketing department and management staff has mushroomed all while Nursing staff has been cut.

    Advice to Management

Come down from the "Ivory Towers" more often and see the folks who actually put their hands on and care for the patients.

    Pros

    They pay is average.
    I like my coworker
    Overall nice facility

    Cons

The workload is over the top for floor nurses. Management does not care. RN's are disrespected harassed and stressed to the max.
Management has no compassion and no clue. They are completely out of touch with how it is to be a nurse at Florida Hospital. Lars there is no healing ministry of Christ applied to our employees. Huge turnover and now they are worried about retention. Floors being staffed by grad nurses with a year of experience due to flight of experienced nurses.

    Advice to Management

Read the Book by Dr. Floor "The Role of Compassion in Leadership". Give the nurses support and resources. Stop understaffing and overwhelming your direct care staff. FH. You want to "extend the healing ministry of Christ" but you don't even take care of your first line employees Shame on you Florida Hospital. You do not practice what you preach. It is all about the budget.

    Pros

    Positive environment with great coworkers

    Cons

Constant quarterly education, certifications, meetings that are not bundled together which require employees to travel back and forth for an hour long meeting. Salaries are comparable to other RN positions in the state of Florida but, nurses are not compensated more for advanced certifications or higher levels of care.
