I worked at Florida Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They pay well, the health benefits were normal.

    Cons

Some goal's not reachable with the amount of staff

    Advice to Management

Work a few days in the shoes of the lowest paid workers and see what its like before you add more to there job descriptions.

I worked at Florida Hospital (Less than a year)

    Pros

I didn't work for them long, but my supervisor was amazing. Very flexible and caring. Made work very easy when I had to be late or leave early. Good benefits.

    Cons

I didn't really come across any cons, probably because I worked there for less than a year. Had to relocate and working from home wasn't an option for my position.

I worked at Florida Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Coworkers were great! Compared to the other hospitals, the employees here truly care. Also you get a crash course on how hospitals work.

    Cons

In EVS, you are overworked and way under payed!! Practically forced into overtime and get an attitude if you turn it down, even after working 14 days straight. Back to back double shifts. Then when they feel they have things covered, they send you home early so that your week is ruined, but you don't get the overtime. They put people in your area without training them, then when you come in to work, you clean behind them plus your normal duties.

    Advice to Management

Keep enough staff to cover the proper shifts and get trained properly, instead of relying on the same people to work triple for less.

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Florida Hospital full-time

    Pros

Excellent place to work, good benefits, staff education a plus, chances to increase knowledge and advance great, nurse to patient ratio usually kept at level that patients are provided with exemplary care

    Cons

Staff education regarding changes are sometimes at levels that don't allow staff time to fully absorb information before implementing changes. If staff are sick on weekends they have to work the next weekend to make it up

    Advice to Management

Continue the good work, look at weekend sick leave policy, lots of staff come into work on weekends who are ill and should not be around patients, but they are afraid of being punished

    Pros

There were no pros to this organization. I would not recommend working with this organization to my worst enemy.

    Cons

Supervisors micro-manage and there is a lot of bullying. I didn't meet any staff that wasn't looking for another job.

    Advice to Management

You won't be constantly recruiting staff and offering sign-on bonuses if you train your supervisors and managers to professionally manage staff.

I have been working at Florida Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I've been here for four years and have no plans to leave. It's a great organization with great benefits, including a lot of "extras," such as the CREATION Health program, discounts, and other perks. I love it here, just as much as my first day of employment. We get annual merit increases and usually a nice large bonus each year based on hospital performance.

    Cons

It's a large organization so it takes a little longer to get things done.

I worked at Florida Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a steady paycheck. The difficult circumstances caused me to bond with a core group of coworkers.

    Cons

Management is weak, avoids conflict at all costs, inconsistent. Poor quality management, conflict resolution, and patient care.

    Advice to Management

Deeply and thoroughly examine the respiratory therapy department.
