    There are a lot of good people in the working class.

    Poor Management. Lack of compassion and no "open doors" that I found.

    Pros

    Taking care of people, have a few cool people who help when things get nuts.

    Cons

    Horrible leadership in respiratory. A "supervisor" who sits on her but all night and complains when she has to work, people are fearing their jobs because people are getting fired for no reason, old equipment, patient load ridiculous, favortism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Supervisors who have been therapists for longer than a year or 2.

    I have been working at Florida Hospital Tampa Bay Network full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Great Dental and Prescription benefits. Very large and growing organization within the Adventist Healthcare System. Flexible work schedules depending on the nursing unit.

    Cons

    Low paying and bad medical insurance. Limited career growth within the organization. They will tell you one thing while they do another . Do not really care about your family well-being, but will try to push their Adventist beliefs off on you.

    Pros

    Great co workers
    Good culture when it works
    Able to promote up with hard work (to a point)
    Great Values
    People who work there believe in the mission

    Cons

    You succeed much better if you are an Adventist
    Poor work life balance
    Seem to be losing focus on their Mission - more directed towards profits than mission

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Employees are not disposable and in this market they can be difficult to replace. Need more team work at the top levels.

    Great coworkers, honestly not much else

    Cons

    short staffed, heavy patient loads, nitpicky management, cafeteria food is $$$ with no employee discount, health benefits are terrible, have to punch in and out for lunch

    We need newer equipment that doesn't break all of the time!

    I worked at Florida Hospital Tampa Bay Network full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Florida Hospital took over University Community Hospital, I started working there in 1985 and worked in only too departments. I was given the opportunity to start as patient transporter to being an Endoscopy Associate, I assisted the physician going the procedures. So there is room for advancement.

    Cons

    I was not with Florida Hospital long enough to tell you about any real cons. I lost my job due to medical reasons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Try to be more caring for the people you have know for over 20 years and you know they gave their hearts to the place.
