    Pros

Job security in my opinion is very good in this organization. If a department is having job cuts they will try to place you in another department.

    Cons

Salary is not up to par with other organization but job security and benefits make up for it. Tuition reimbursement if a plus.

    Advice to Management

I believe that they should do a better job of keeping current employees informed of open position within the university to give them a chance to grow within.

    Pros

You are given the freedom and encouraged to express your ideas and creative side. Very supportive faculty. Fun working environment. Great people, always ready to help and always happy.

    Cons

Not always a glamorous job. Going out to remote sites in the everglades, but that's where the research was conducted. Pay could use and increase, but everyone thinks that about every job. There isn't many cons to working at FIU.

    Advice to Management

Management and faculty are great. They are very supportive and caring.
