    Pros

Universities are laid back places to work, my supervisor was great.

    Cons

HR department is pretty poorly run.

    Advice to Management

Be more efficient in terms of HR.

    Pros

Great work environment, with good co-workers and bosses that want everyone to succeed. Plus, the location is great, being a little removed from most of the Miami craziness.

    Cons

My experience with this is limited, but odds are you'll be hired for a specific job, not put into a ladder with lots of room for advancement. People looking to climb should probably look elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

More advertising should be done for open positions; I only became aware of my current job's existence through a chance conversation from a friend of a friend.

    Pros

Not only does one receive top notch benefits, but you have flexibility that isn't offered in other organizations. It is a family environment that promotes the development of an employee.

    Cons

It is a non for profit, so salaries opportunities are not as competitive. Because it is a state funded institution, so when the economy is bad, so is the cut to the institution.
